The iconic F1 DNQ, DNF and DSQ lore:
German Grand Prix - 1977
involved: Hans Heyer
Hans Heyer in 1977 failed to qualify for the German Grand Prix.
However, Heyer was well known by the marshals who looked the other way on lap 1 when he pulled out of the pit lane and joined the race.
The stewards had no idea that he had joined the race until the local crowd erupted after seeing him drive by.
Hans retired from the race on lap 9 with a gearbox problem and then was disqualified leaving him with a DNQ, a DNF AND a DSQ in single Grand Prix. that’s just impressive at this point
Lookee what I was able to snag at last weekend's 'Toronto Comic Show'.. A copy of "GAMUT #3"!! This was a fanzine produced by Sheridan College's now-defunct 'Comic and Cartooning Course' in Oakville.. It was designed to showcase talent attending the school..
Apart from the rare (and funny) Berni Wrightson cover art,-- the main reason I bought it was for a comic story inside by: Bob Smith.. A very talented guy I once worked with at Nelvana, on a number of their action-adventure cartoon shows.. Later on, he went on to do storyboards for Bruce Timm on the WB cartoons..

I made a watercolor painting of Neil Bonnett's victory over Richard Petty in the 1977 Los Angeles Times 500 at Onitario Motorspeed Way; After finishing my painting I decided to combine it with the footage that helped inspire it.

Neil Bonnett wins his second NASCAR Winston Cup series race and his first on a superspeedway win, beating the King Richard Petty himself.
Coincidently this would by Dodge's final win in the cup series until 2001, Neil Bonnett sadly wouldn't be there to witness it in person as he tragically lost his life while practicing for the 1994 Daytona 500.

Suspiria is a very charming horror movie with its outlandish sets and color coding. Although it lacks an abundance of body horror/gore like some movies, there are a couple scenes where the depiction of blood is spectacular. In my opinion they got the color just right in this movie! The only negative thing to speak on about this movie is the story line was a bit hard for me to follow. On top of a confusing plot, the movie can be rather slow and it's a long watch. Definitely worth a watch once, but I wouldn't rewatch this movie unless showing it to anybody who hasn't seen it yet.
