Headcanon that Annabeth loves Spider-Man. Like, she read all the comics as a kid and keeps up with the movies and lore and everything. Since he doesn’t actually look like a real spider, it doesn’t freak her out as much as she expected it to. However, everyone else in her cabin hates anything even remotely related to spiders, so she’s had to keep it a secret for years. Finally, she works up the nerve to tell Percy while eating lunch. She goes up to him really fidgety and nervous and starts the conversation with, “So there’s something I need to tell you that I haven’t told anyone in my life and you have to PROMISE not to tell.” And Percy’s like… pretty freaked out. He’s almost certain she’s going to say something like “I killed a man once” when she quietly mumbles “I like Spider-Man.” He chokes on his drink, and then very solemnly says (while trying hard not to laugh) “Oh, cool. Me too.” Annabeth nods, absolutely serious, and goes back to her cabin’s table. Percy just sits there wondering what in the world just happened.
