I love many things in this show. Story, jokes, culture, characters, art style, even the sometimes ear wrenching dub, but none of it tops my man Wolfram over here. He's my favorite, yes, because he's a typical pretty boy, but also because he has this dumb ability to be the damsel in distress every dang episode. Like he's a literal genderbended princess peach at this point. I recommend watching the show, so I don't wanna spoil it for people. If you wanna see the dumb list of events this poor prince has been through, continue further.

• Proposed to by a stranger, a human no less (at war with humans and to his kind, they're seen as mean and ugly creatures)

I'm so hyper fixating with Kyou Kara Maou that i spended half of the night and battery energy making this meme, i thought i would have time to write some fanfic or draw something later but this took some work and time. I also interpret Murata in the bisexual spectrum independent of him being transgender or cis, but we know he works so much as trans allegory, I like to interpret him in the gender fluid spectrum, i also interpret gender fluid Josak. If you don't interpret Gisela as lesbian then take the second image.

Anyway, this is the Kyou Kara Maou Tumblr post for today. Their headcanon identities order even got in the LGBT+ acronym order, unless you count even being in a ska band as a queer identity in the middle hahahahaha!

Playing with Kyou Kara Maou fanfiction scenarios is so fun!

I've recently gotten into Kyou Kara Maou, specially on the fanfic side of the fandom (Wolfram is my favorite character, surprising absolutely no one) and after reading my fair share of different fanfic headcanons, I gotta say... I LOVE when the main catalyst for Yuuri coming to terms and accepting his feelings for Wolfram is when someone else is visibly down bad for him. SPECIALLY when said person is Murata. I find it hilarious, like

Yuuri, five feet deep in denial and digging even deeper with a toy shovel: well he's good looking but every demon I've met is handsome to some degree, it's not THAT big of a deal.

The lord of if whateverthehell, Prince of whothefuckcares, ready to risk it all after Wolfram blinked in his general direction during a ball: Well if your Highness doesn't want the engagement, I would gladly take your place...

Yuuri, thinking the pros and cons of causing an international incident:... Who the fuck are you, go back to your country. Get out of my castle. CONRAD!!!

Or like

Yuuri, about five minutes away from an identity AND sexuality crisis because Wolfram is currently looking very sexy as he trains his men into the ground: Okay yeah I'll admit it, he's the most beautiful person ive ever seen, but it doesn't matter. Murata, kinda also a Japanese man but very much bi and ready to try playing with fire, always down to tease Yuuri and not afraid to be horny on main: I do. Step away from the line if you don't want to get on the ride, your Majesty.

My long due fanfic which should've already been posted in the first week of the MA Event. But as they say, better late than never!

It is a Yuuram fic but with everyone playing cupid, heh. I don't know how it turned out, but I think it is good enough. It is a bit long, but I hope you read it (and find it funny). Idk why but Yuuri and Wolfram just don't kiss! Even in my fanfic! I just can't make them kiss each other. I had such a hard time! I have to thank my friend here, she really helped me out with her suggestion or this fic wouldn't've been completed.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

How the Royal Couple came to be-

Since I really didn't have anything to share yet (cause my fic is making me sweat buckets) so I thought I could share this awesome part of how our Royal Couple were engaged. It is so amazingly written that every line makes me laugh and hold a different emotion.

You feel it more once you thoroughly know all the novel characters, or have travelled with them through some part of the 17 volume long adventure. It is a wonderful and tender feeling, when you know how they'd grow from this point on. And develop because of a misunderstanding of all things!All you need is a quick read of chapter 4 of volume 1 and you find so much.

Conrart's years of wait and his mission when he assures Wolfram that he can never mistake Yuuri.

Gwendal's years of dedication and calm care when he accepts Yuuri but had increased frown lines when he concluded that Yuuri didn't want to be a Maou- knowing him it was probably his way of taking care of him, probably indirectly saying "You don't need to burden yourself with something you don't want to do".

We also see Wolfram's judgement, as even though he was annoyed but he had his reasons because he didn't want to witness this country go through another war. All he wanted was a ruler who loved this country and he'd serve him gladly. Thankfully he did get one.

We see the forshadowing of Julia's soul when Yuuri mentions he can always know when Conrart is smiling.

We see a Günter in the initial stage of becoming Heika fanatic and spilling juices all around.

We see Cecilie's love for her children, and her husbands. Their unique but endearing mother-son bond.

We see the acceptance of homosexuality as another form of love. Because, love is free to pursue!- in Lady Cheri's words.

We also witness Shin Makoku's culture, it's delicacies and know how different it is just as much as it is similar. (Admit it, we are all secretly glad for Yuuri's clumsiness- and him not wanting to punch the beautiful face🤣)

All of this woven humorously, just like how Takabayashi-sensei does. And, I realise, yet again, just how much this novel means to me.

The part about Yuuri and Wolfram belonging to Greta before themselves is so true and so sweet♡

The daughter of Izura, the daughter of Svelera, the daughter of the demon king.. dear little Greta.

Much went wrong very early in her life. All she wanted was to belong to someone. But being the daughter of an entire country meant something very different- it did not mean love and comfort, but responsibility and an impossible task of proving oneself worthy of love. Thankfully, that painful journey led her back to her childhood. And it brought her two fathers closer together to create a family - before Yuuri and Wolfram belonged to each other, they belonged to Greta.

Down that road from outside the Bloodpledge castle where Huber left her to inside the heart of everyone that lived in it, Greta found where she belonged.

PS: this is what I think Greta looks like, all grown up. ❤

PPS: I'm not too good with drawing anime characters (or anything else, really) and I'm just too scared to even attempt for fear of messing them up. But I tried anyway. 😅🙈

Even though I perfectly knew that we were both guys, being pursued by such a beautiful boy like him still caused my heart to skip a few beats. At times like this, the most effective solution was to avoid looking at his face and keep chanting “He is 82 years old” like a mantra.

Also, I’ve started reading the novels!  They’re a lot of fun.  Many, many thanks to the people translating them.

I realised it as well way back when I just got into the fandom. It was a beautiful realisation. No matter how trivial it may be anything related to YuuRam is worth knowing.

Trivial Random Thought

So I was coloring my recent art and I realized while coloring that Yuuri’s favorite color is blue and you know…. who in Shinma has a blue uniform as standard outfit…. it’s Wolf XD! 

Did you facepalm, I am sure you did : P. This is really something unimportant I realized which is important to me as a Yuuram fan ;).  

It is so refreshing to find people who read the Light Novel and appreciate it's awesomeness! I mean it is so underrated because of various different reasons. It is. marvellous piece of work!! And Takabayashi-sensei's way of writing is amazing!! The way she changes the atmosphere is just plain awesome.

All her characters have a very unique personality. And she makes it a point to break the character stereotype. Like how the ethereal beauty Günter has an extremely perverted side, the eternally stoic Gwendal has a soft spot for cute things, the perfect gentleman Conrart has a thing for cold puns and how the fallen angel is a selfish brat when he opens his mouth(but I find him charming no matter what).

She has made even the women superior. Not like the meek heroines that we mostly encounter. But ladies like Anissina, Gisela, Flynn, Julia, Jennifer, Celi, etc. They can protect themselves and even others and contribute extremely for the kingdom.

Even Yuuri has his unique character where he has a bad temper and a habit of going into a "Turkish March", if you get what I mean. He has a strong sense of justice which drives him to do crazy things. But he his easily manipulated though he is not dense(at least not that much)

I have no words for the beautiful YuuRam. If I start then I won't be able to end. For me, they are one of the best couple that I have come across. Yuuri and Wolfram complement each other. But since they are guys so it is hard for Yuuri to accept their relationship. Yet no matter, he considers Wolf his best friend, comrade, and his precious partner. It is just too beautiful for words!! Wolfram obviously has already pledged his life to serve Yuuri already. And no matter how much Yuuri complains about his engagement, the fact that he protested about the punch by Wolf as an act of domestic violence and complaining about divorce added with his regular praises of Wolf's beauty is proof enough. Plus the way Wolf can go from being a wagamama-puu to encouraging Yuuri is beautiful(in more ways than one).

Yuuri just say yes already!! (cause Wolf is all hyped about marrying you!)

What I found out about Maruma/KKM after reading the novel up to 15 chapters.

WARNING! MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS.

Yuuri is not as innocent as I thought he is. He’s still dense and very kind but not stupid and innocent.

I fell in love completely with Yuuri from the ball at Dai Shimaron chapter and I feel so guilty towards Wolfram and to think that he’s my baby.

Yuuri POV consists, things he shouldn’t do, baseball reference, and how beautiful Wolfram is.

Wolfram is Yuuri’s personal sun.

Flynn has more characters and not as plain as how I remembered her from the anime.

The Maou Yuuri is a lot more badass!

Adalbert is more likable, I mean a lot lot lot more likable in the novel I found myself loving his character so much!

And his side story with Julia thrown me off board from ConradxJulia ship and I even throw that ship into the abyss now.

Maxine is the character I strangely found enjoyable it still puzzle me.

Adalbert and Maxine relationship is one hell of a relationship. Well, they are a perfect family! Father, son and granddaughters.

Conrad is not a Mr. nice guy!

Don’t get me wrong I don’t mean he’s hateful, I mean he has a dark side that I never see from the anime.

Conrad not return had so much more impact to the whole story and the anime did bad by changing that.

ConYuu in the novel is strong but I still have the same opinion as from the anime. I don’t ship them.

Greta is great! (I’m borrowing Conrad’s lame joke)

But seriously I always thought Greta as a tag-along character. The character which don’t bring much significant but her character did have impact and she’s very adorable and I love her!

The additional character like, Amblin, Sizemore, Chevalier and others help spiced things up so I feel bad they were cut off from the anime.

I love Anini so much!!!!!!! She’s mad, she genius, she’s mad, she’s funny, she’s mad, she’s strong, she’ ma… Did I already said mad? XP

Owh! And how she always happen to slap everyone with her hair whenever she turn around is my personal favorite.

Have I told that I now ship GwenxAnini? I DO! HARD!

Their relationship is the best and even so cringe worthy.

When will you two gonna get married.

Maybe the youngest will be the first one.

Gwen win the best older brother award. I mean despite of his fear, he went into his dimensional drawer in order to go to Kalbenikoff coz he thought Anissina tried to use Conrad as Romero.

I’m so proud of my Wolf cub if I’m gonna write about how proud I am of him I may need end up writing for days.

He matured so much!

I love him more and more and more now!

And he’s not the unreasonably over jealous type.

But Yuuri’s so afraid of him especially whenever Wolfram give the we’ll-talk-this-in-private vibe that I found it amusing.

Yuuram in the novel is much stronger my shipping heart almost can’t stand it.

Just get married already guys!

But on second thought, they did acted up like a married couple.

Btw, I found out that many people are in favor for their engagement.

So hurry up and get married!

Yozak is more Gurier(I wonder if you get this) and I love him soooooo much!

Coz I love Yozak so much, I’m really mad at Conrad when he accused Yozak as irresponsible for purposely losing to Adalbert and cause Yuuri to have to fight as third contestant in the Shimaron tournament. And the other time is during Seisa arc when Yozak being controlled and became the enemy Conrad don’t hesitate to cross sword with him. I mean come on Conrad, he’s protecting Yuuri with his life during your absence!

I don’t know what happen to Yozak but I hope he’s fine! *pray hard*

Weird but I can’t ship Conrad with anyone at all.

Sara is terrible! Nuff said.

But I love the terrible Sara anyway.

Sergeant Gisela is the best. How she flipped the switch from the gentle healer to Demon Sergeant is the best. Go on and admire her Greta.

Murata is wiser but only from novel I understand his pain of not able to forgot. *pats Murata*

He’s wise but he did acted up like a 4000 years old man.

Lady Cheri is indeed a good mother and I’m totally fine with her free love lifestyle.

Fanfan is really cheesy I’m puking out rainbows! No! You don’t have to take note Dorcascos!

Gunter is really disgusting! Lol

I found Bob to be a really funny guy.

Ah! Shouri needs more limelight. He deserved it!

I basically just love everyone in the novel.

The novel can turn from serious to a total crack in 0.001 second yet I’m totally fine with it.

I agree with how the novel don’t sugarcoat things just to make them acceptable.

All in all I’m enjoying the novel so much I feel sad to finish the other two volumes so I tried to take my time by reading the gaidens and extras slowly. I still don’t have any thought bout Shinou coz I’m just about to read the gaiden. I might add things up as I still have lots of material to read and if I suddenly remember things. XP

Wolfram's humour is the best. And it seems that he thoroughly enjoys teasing Yuuri because he is not familiar with ShinMa's customs and things. It is so amusing to watch it.

A little more thoughts on Wolf

I think Wolfram is a big troll sometimes. He actually knows that Yuuri is irritated but he will still continue irritating Yuuri even more. Like in the Dual at ma noon he knew that Yuuri was mad, so by the end of the story he remained silent to see what happens.(I think!)

I also think that Wolfram has his own personal room but he is lying about it. I mean even Greta has a room there is no way Wolfram won’t own a room as the ex prince(referring to the bear-bee gaiden). 

I think he lives up to his name Selfish puu very well and he is aware about it. Like in the Caloria arc he slaps Yuuri on the ship on the pretext of reverse proposal and added “didn’t you teach me not to insult parents” addressing the Novel 1 incident. I mean he accepted he is selfish before he was leaving Shinma(in Caloric arc) in front of Gwendal. 

Moreover during the tournament part in the Caloric arc where Yuuri misinterpreted the match rules Wolf was like “yeah we will have a naked fest” and then when they finally enter Wolf changes the statement like  “Listen to me carefully, demon nobles aren’t allowed to reveal themselves in public. Stripping is reserved for emergency situations!”

Agreed!!

Few things about Yuuri

This is just a small post about “Maybe author was hinting about Yuuri’s sexuality(and type?)” and here it goes.

I will start with the pillow, remember there was a story in which magical pillows were mentioned. You can select a pillow and if you have maryoku you will have a certain “themed” dream depending on the type of pillow. In that story Yuuri used the silver pillow and he did see something from his past life meaning the pillow worked!  

Then we have the Mise Ma Show where we saw that Yuuri  wanted to have a lewd dream with a girl but ends up having Wolf and Conrad in his dreams! I mean he wanted girls but sees guys with him! What if this was just a way of author slipping “Hey hey you see Yuuri might be into guys not girls!” We know that the other pillows did work and the others got their result. So the pillow working should be a hint? 

There was also this in Dual at Ma Noon  “ There was no way that confessing my teenage preference in lewd dream !”. But I am not sure if he was talking about the “lewd dream” or the ”guys”.

Finally, there is also Because We’re Young the part they were talking about not seeing Rated-R dreams and Yuuri is/was always like “I like mature girls” and ends up seeing himself with a fierce person. Type much? I know the conversation sort of changes to where Yuuri is saying,”this and that is also my type?“ but you get my point. Also, he never gets to the main part with the girls in his dreams XD! I mean never ever according to this story.

The reason I listed the time line is because from Novel 9 I saw a considerable amount of change in how Yuuri was behaving or interacting  with Wolf. So maybe author was trying to slide such things or maybe it was just for comedy XD!  I know Maru Ma is an adventure story I highly doubt we will get a side where Yuuri will be like “I thought I only liked girls then I realised….” dun dun dun!!!!!! At this point we don’t need it but just think about it if we ever get it “…then he entered my life…” XD!
