I was entertaining myself with Google Earth (as you do) and "found" this giant submarine channel southwest of Ireland.

This is the Gollum Channel System in the Porcupine Seabight basin.

The name catched my attention, of course, so I opened the first article about this huge underwater canyon (this one) and look what I found:

They're all there!!! Someone had fun with the the naming of these smaller canyons! This is the best thing in a long time...

gollum hobbits tolkien this is so so interesting! I want to know everything about it how does it look down there the article says it isn't the result of glaciation which is what I would assume apparently it's older gollum channel system north atlantic

i don't think you can compare men's sports against women's sports without acknowledging that certain women's sports like gymnastics and tennis have been instrumental in upholding a particular type of (white, heterosexual) femininity, one that de-emphasizes strength and muscularity for traditionally feminine qualities like grace and elegance. and i really don't think you can compare men's gym routines to women's gym routines without taking this into account.
