I miss when -philia/phile meant a deep love and fascination for and not ‘I want to have sex with’

Like I have a deep fascination and love for death as a concept and it’s a beautiful and poetic thing. But I can’t say I’m a necrophile but I don’t wanna fuck dead people.

Can we start making new words and stop reusing the same ones for two completely different things? Love ≠ sex
