Do you know what's sad about ep 8-9

Stede left his entire livelihood behind to go be a pirate and then he meets Ed and Ed doesn't want to be blackbeard anymore, he's thinking about giving it all up and then it gets to episode 9 where they get their comeuppance when they get arrested by the English and call for an act of grace which strips them of their piracy and means they work for the English instead. Stede set out to be somebody, to get a name for himself, to become bigger than all of his bullies, to be greater than them and he gets that chance stripped away from him and Ed- eds just okay with it because he doesn't have to be blackbeard anymore and then they have this whole conversation where stede asks what makes Ed happy and eds like- you and then they kiss and stede says you make stede happy and then Ed comes up with an idea to move to China and things and start a new life and get new backstories and you can see how conflicted stede is because he wanted to be somebody and with this he cant. But he so desperately wants Ed too because its the only time he ever felt love and its painful because he so clearly wants an eventful life but he also really wants to choose Ed too and it's just- painful

All I want is for them to be happy😭

I just want to see them grow beards out together and get matching tatts, is that too much to ask??!?!?!

Does anyone ever wonder how Stede managed to pull together this crew like where on earth did he find these people? I'm sure they've mentioned it somewhere but I cant for the life of me remember

1989 and ofmd have a few too many parallels for the last episode to just so happened to have lined up with the release of 1989 tv…. i see you ofmd marketing team

ofmd has quickly become my comfort show as my mental health this semester just keeps getting worse and worse

You always hear Izzy redemption, Izzy redemption that.

You know what I want.

I want Izzy to realize what he's done to Ed and just up and leave him.

Then Ed will be without Stede or without Izzy (his past and his present).

Driving him deeper into being "The Kraken".

PS I know Izzy won't do this due to his absolute devotion to Blackbeard.

Which like things get dirty? Blackbeard has charcoal all over him and he grabbed the figures so they got charcoal on them, right. RIGHT?

NO

The same grime is not there on Ed's figurine. Ed's figurine only has his intentional painting. Not the seeming accidental smudging we see with Stede's.

So, is this this smudging is due to Ed holding/cradling the Stede figurine so much, that it gets all smudged from the charcoal on his hands or even HOLDING IT TO HIS FACE ????????? WHAT IF HE HAS KISSED IT?????
