Y/N for this story: Female
Warnings: Little angst
Contains: Fluff, pet names, and a plot-twist
Diluc just got back from Angel's share he was tired and just wanted to go back home when he reached his house, he went straight to his bedroom but when he opened the door, he saw you on his bed reading a book.
“Y/N?”
You looked up from your book and looked at him
“Oh! Diluc you’re back!”
You greeted as you closed your book and got up from the bed
You walked towards him and gave him a peck on the cheek, he smiled to himself seeing you, your hair in a do-rag, your beautiful dark brown eyes, and your chocolate brown skin, and your adorable smile he couldn’t get enough of you.
“Hah…good to see you again my beloved”
He gave you a kiss on the forehead and wrapped his hand around your waist
“Ehehehe….so! how was work? Did anything happen? Did Kaeya, Venti or Rossaria do anything?”
You asked while he frowned a little
“I guess you already know how, Venti is he tried stealing another bottle of Dandelion wine…”
He said with an annoyed tone, you sighed and grabbed his coat and started taking it off.
“Anything else?”
You asked while you put his coat away
“Thankfully no after I kicked Venti out it was a rather peaceful night…that is until Kaeya came in and started annoying me”
He huffed in annoyance you giggled a little and grabbed his hand and signaled him to get on the bed he did so and you crawled behind him and untied his hair
“Lay down on my chest and you can keep talking “
“Oh! thank Barbatos, you are an absolute angel”
He stretched a little before slowly laying on your chest, when he finally settled on your chest, he let out a sigh of relief.
“So…what else happened?”
You asked while massaging his head
“Well while I was just minding my own business and then he started to talk to me even tho I am not even interested to talk to him”
And with that he ranted while you massaged his head and listening to him, it went for about 30 minutes and after he was done, he let out a groan and he closed his eyes for a while you were confused as to why he stopped.
“Diluc? Hon? Are you ok? Why did you stop are you ok? “
He opened his eyes and signaled you to look at him, you lowered your head to look at his red tired eyes.
“Come closer hun bun”
You lowered your head and he gave you a bunny kiss and giggled
“AH! PFttttt- eheheheheh…Diluc!”
“Ahhh…am sorry I couldn’t help it you looked so pretty”
The two of you laughed a while giving each other bunny kisses
After a while, he sat up and looked at you
“Hey, how can I return the favor.”
“OH! Urm…well-”
“You sound surprised? Did I say something wrong?”
“Oh no! Uh- not at all I was really surprised are you sure?”
“Yeah, like I said it’s the least I can do for always listening to me complain”
You thought about what you wanted from Diluc and you came up with an idea
“OOO! I know you can cuddle me by the fireplace like we used to do”
He nodded in agreement
“Ok then it’s settled”
You both went downstairs and Diluc started the fireplace you sat a little close to the fireplace once it was lit, and then Diluc ordered his maids and butler to leave you two alone and they obliged. After they left Diluc went to you and sat next to you.
“Come here, hun”
You scooted closer to him, so he was behind you this time and he wrapped his hands around you and placed his head at the crook of your neck and smelled your scent, a scent he dearly missed all-day-everyday. You chuckled at his actions and you started to rub his head while he relaxed.
“Hey…y/n?”
“Hm?”
“Thanks for putting up with me and my rantings, you don’t know how much it means to me.”
After he said that he kissed your neck and you blushed a little
“It’s ok am just glad you trust me enough to open up even if it’s just a little bit”
“Thank you… you're all I need I love you y/n”
His voice echoed again and again and again until it was just pitch black…then…silence...Diluc opened his eyes he found himself in bed he looked to the side and saw a picture of you on his pillow he sat up and grabbed the photo in his hands he felt warm tears dripping down his cheeks.
“*Hic*Please…*hic*my love…g-give me*hic*a sign*hic* I *hic* miss *hic* you….”

He was too slow, just like last time. He couldn’t save you. Must he lose everyone he cherished? Must he always be too slow or weak to save the ones he loved? Did Celestia hate him so?
He cradled you in his arms, your body was cold, much too cold. He couldn’t stop the tears or sobs that escaped, unrelenting.
Diluc jolted awake, his chest rising and falling rapidly. His breaths are short and heavy. Next to him in bed -where you should be- is much too cold. He panicked thinking his nightmare might actually be his reality until he heard the click of the bedroom door opening. There you stood with a cup of tea in your hand.
“Diluc, are you alright?”
Tears brimmed his eyes, threating to fall as he looked at you. Closing the door you quickly walked over to him, placing your tea on the nightstand next the bed. When you sat yourself on the bed, Diluc’s arms were immediately around you holding you so close as if you’d disappear into thin air if he didn’t, and to him and his still panic stricken mind, that was a very possible outcome.
“Do you want to talk about it, love?” You spoke lovingly, voice barely above a whisper.
His response was a simple shake of his head, opting to instead pull you closer to him.
“There’s still some tea left, I could go get you a cup if you’d like?” You whispered fondly.
His response was a simple “Just hold me please.” His voice wavered slightly as he tried to will himself not to cry.
You pulled him impossibly closer, his head in the crook of your neck, and as you whispered sweet nothings into his ear, the dam finally broke and his tears fell. His body shook with silent sobs as his tears stained your shirt --but you couldn’t care less about your shirt, your mind was only set on calming Diluc.
“Please... Please d-don’t leave me.” His voice broke through the silence.
“I’d never dream of leaving you, my love.” You cooed at him as you shifted yourself and Diluc into a more comfortable position. As his tears slowly came to a stop, so did his rapid breaths as they evened back out in the comfort of your embrace. He eventually fell asleep, not long after by you, falling asleep to a pleasant dream with Diluc in your arms --the tea by the bed long forgotten.

You were the person Diluc trusted most in his life, however, he still had problems with being vulnerable. At times your boyfriend was distant and awkward in the relationship, unsure sure of how to initiate a conversation or physical touch with this unfamiliar chapter of his life. This paired with his need to provide for you made it especially hard for him to open up about his own needs.
Diluc's number one priority was to make you feel comfortable, making sure the maids that served you were top their, that you were healthy at all times, and that everything your heart desired was met.
But you couldn't help but feel he was a hypocrite when he comes home at an ungodly hour with his hair matted, muscles aching, and wobbly legs indicating he was about to pass out. Many times have you seen him falling asleep on his desk barely keeping his eyes open while he rambles about a weeks worth of tasks he must complete in one day. It honestly breaks your heart, so while Diluc took a well-needed nap you had managed to evenly distribute his tasks between the other servants and Kaeya to allow your boyfriend to finally have a day off.
The moment Diluc woke up from his nap he let out a loud groan, rubbing the crust from his eyes as he realized he probably was drooling in his sleep. You let out an airy laugh from your position in the corner of the room watching as he grumbled out something along the lines of "good morning" though it was late into the afternoon.
Suddenly as if realizing something was wrong he turned in the bed, his large hand slapping on the bedside table. "Love? Where's my alarm?"
His voice became panicked as he rolled out of bed, his legs still tangled in the comforter causing him to come slamming into the hardwood floor. You stood up quickly rushing to help him to his feet not missing the way he swayed with exhaustion. Seems even after a full ten hours of sleep it wasn't enough to catch him up.
"'Luc, hey relax. It's fine-"
You attempt to console him but his half-asleep craze had a clear goal to find a clock. He nodded his head mindlessly at your words before attempting to walk out the bedroom door despite the blanket still pooling at his ankles. He tripped on more but with your firm grip on his bicep, you helped him walk into the living room.
"It's two?! How could I have slept so late, where is my clock? I know I set it for six a.m., I specifically told the maids to wake me up if I'm not at breakfast by seven! Where Adelinde?" Diluc yells the head housemaid's name and you can't help but smiles at him.
Diluc looked unbelievably cute, his hair all messy with a slight curl at the end since it's out of its usual ponytail, his angry face and his twitching eyebrow, his silk white pajamas he swears are the most comfortable thing he owns. Everything about him had your heart hammering.
"I told Adelinde and some of the maids to take the day off, the others are completing tasks." You explain gently, grabbing his hand and bringing him to the large couch. Diluc had a confused look across his face as he watched you prepare the fireplace in front of him.
"Why on Earth would you do that? Did you steal my alarm clock too?" Your boyfriend crossed his arms, a scolding on the tip of his tongue as he would to a child. You rolled your eyes, lighting the wood you had set up to be engulfed in the warmth of the flame.
"Because, my love," he blushed at the nickname, while it was common for him to call you terms of indearment you usually just called him 'Luc, "you deserve a day off. I don't even want you to worry about work, it's all gonna be taken care of."
You made your way towards his lap, watching as his deep crimson eyes stared into yours challengingly. "And how are you gonna manage that, hm?" His body was stiff under yours, still a bit uncomfortable with the physical contact you two were making but you gently grabbed his arms to wrap around your waist, letting him know it was okay.
"Magic," you said vaguely, laughing at the annoyed groan he let out. "But how will I know your 'magic' does it right? What about my...nightly duties?"
"I got it all under control, today we are gonna do absolutely nothing and I promise there will be no mess for you to clean up tomorrow. Don't you trust me?" You knew the answer from how he leaned back into the couch, his fingers gently flexing around your waist to pull you closer.
His eyelids closed as he took in the warm feeling you always caused him, he couldn't understand how he got so lucky. You were always so sweet with him, never holding his flaky schedule and empty promises for dates against him. You knew his job was important to him and that he would always make it up to you and yet he still felt guilty about it. He supposed now was a good opportunity to make up for all that time lost when his desk called his name.
As he snapped out of his trance to notice the items on the table he shook his head. "So now that you got me trapped your gonna torture me?"
The contents on the table were some of your products, a strawberry face mask, so eye bag gel, a lip scrub, and even a special detangling brush you bought for your boyfriend's lushes red locks. "See, this is why we belong together, you read my mind!"
|♡|—–|♡|
Diluc was beginning to regret his life choices.
He sat on the floor, his back against the couch while his arms and legs were surrounded by pillows, with a sticky pink gel on his face and two poorly cut cucumber slices over his eyes.
"Are the cucumbers truly necessary?" He grumbles, handing you his other hand as you clean the dirt from under his nails and add clear polish to rejuvenate his hands.
"Yes 'Luc, we gotta get rid of those horrendous eyebags," you comment through a teasing smile despite his vision being obscured by the green vegetable. "They aren't that bad," your boyfriend attempted to defend despite knowing the lack of rest took a huge toll on his body.
You hummed, finishing up painting his pinkie with clear polish since he refused any color, deeming he wouldn't want to stoop to Kaeya's level with his signature black nails. As you blew on his hand to help the product dry you used your other hand to reach for the brush.
"I'm going to take care of your hair now, I think the stuff I put earlier should have settled." This was the part he'd been waiting for, you had an obsession with Diluc's hair and he loved to indulge you in it. His stomach always did flips whenever your fingers brush his scalp.
You moved to sit on the couch behind his head, plucking off the cucumbers from his face and throwing it in a bowl before throwing your thighs over his shoulders and grouping his red hair in your hands. "Your hair is getting longer, I think it's a little longer than your butt now," the brush combed through his soft hair, admiring the blend of warm colors to create your boyfriend's signature blazing hair color. "But your gonna have to get a trim soon, your ends are split."
"I was thinking about cutting a couple of inches off, it's becoming a bit of a hassle." Diluc had to bite back a whine when you began to massage his head, grateful he always encouraged you to pamper yourself when he felt the pointy manicured ends of your nails scratch his scalp.
"Don't you dare! I love your hair, when your too tired to do it let me know and I'll do it for you," your genuineness was evident with how tender you were when brushing out the knots, carefully smoothing along the detangled areas. He swears he couldn't be more relaxed by your touch.
For a long moment, there was a comfortable silence, the crackling sound of the fire lulling Diluc to sleep once more much to his annoyance. He wanted to be awake, to keep feeling the love you practically drowned him in. But now he was regretting his late-night antics as the Darknight Hero.
"Don't sleep yet, we gotta wash off your face mask," you reached to grab a washcloth that had been soaking in a bowl of warm water using it to gently wipe the mask from his face. "Oh my gosh look! You got an eyelash on your face, hold on I'll blow it," your gentle breath cooled his warm skin, and after a moment of blowing you placed a kiss on his cheek.
"You made your wish right?" You question, running your fingers through his hair once more. Diluc nodded, avoiding eye contact as he could feel his face turn as red as his hair.
"Beleive it or not I'm still tired," he groaned, standing up from his spot as he complains about his ass being sore from sitting on the floor. "Then let's go to sleep, hope you enjoyed your pampering," you teased, grabbing onto his hair and swinging it around. It was then he realized you embarrassingly braided his hair into two pigtails.
"Y/N, I look like a little girl!"
"Aww, don't be like that it's cute on you!" |♡|—–|♡| BONUS: “My love...why are their people talking about the Darknight Hero having a new sidekick? I swear to the archons is Kaeya shows up here trying to discuss some stupid superhero names with me I will--”

diluc has a massive dick. wbk.
he’s so tall, strong, muscular— who’s to say his dick isn’t the same?
so when you’re on his lap, your hands on his shoulders as his tip prods at your entrance and you let out a whimper and look at him with those eyes, he can’t help but coo.
“it’s okay, pretty girl, take your time.”
“lemme help you; need you to relax f’me, baby,”
“i’ll make it fit. i always do, hm? let me take care of you.”
and when he massages your hips with his thumbs and sinks you down inch by inch — and he lets out a guttural groan as he bottoms out.
“yeah, see? told you you could do it. such a good girl.”
“so tight, fuck— i got you, baby, shh,”
he spits down on ur clit and rubs small circles on it, helping u loosen up and he kisses along your collarbone.
he’s gonna reward you for being so good, for taking him so well— and that’s a promise. ♡

beautiful, the whisper and wonder of it all fit diluc ragnvindr in his entirety. (you, diluc, and the language of flowers in the city of mondstadt.)
pairing. diluc ragnvindr / gn! reader genre. fluff, slice-of-life romance, non-linear narrative word count. 3,089
note. reposted from my old blog and cross-posted on ao3 in honor of his skin (i know it’s been weeks but i cannot get over his skin. i haven’t even played his quest yet.) definitely one of my faves. i swear i am not a diluc kisser.
You almost miss it—the hushed word that rolls off his tongue as you pass by Flora’s display of flowers.
“Beautiful,” he says to no one in particular. You wonder if he really intends to say it out loud or at all, eyes bright and glancing over to each potted plant, lingering for a moment longer on the Cecilias.
It is but a fleeting moment, and maybe it’s just a trick your senses had chosen to play because before you could even begin to think about what it means, he takes a step forward and continues his walk; neither confident nor modest, not standing too proudly but not hunching either. He walks as if he’s thinking of nothing else but the way the pavement beneath his feet carries him as he strides across the Mondstadt streets.
He exudes what you would expect Diluc Ragnvindr to exude: an inexplicable presence that definitely would make the second of awe he had of the blooms dancing with the wind seem like it was only a figment of your imagination.
Diluc stops in his tracks, slowly turns on the balls of his feet and raises his brows at you, not of authority but of just genuine curiosity.
“Are you okay?” he asks, and you only realize that you’ve been standing in the same spot for a time now. You feel the heat creep up your face.
“Yes,” you cough. It’s unsure, and definitely embarrassed. You hurriedly catch up to him, jogging a few steps before repeating, “yes.”
Diluc nods, and you try not to think about it again.
“Is this fine?” you ask, cautious and patient as you squat down and pat the grass at the edge of the lake. You watch Diluc as his steps stutter for a moment only before nodding and settling down beside you.
Diluc accompanies you to your travels the week after the little encounter at Floral Whisper, and he remains silent for most of the time. Unfortunately, you did think about it; the quiet whisper of beautiful and the even quieter wonder his eyes had shown. You did think about the possibility of seeing that Diluc once more, childlike and sunny, for maybe a second longer next time.
Your gaze wanders across the lake, then to the small bed of rock where a waypoint stood, glimmering shyly in blue. There are frogs jumping around and lizards crawling everywhere.
“Are you afraid of them?” you wonder aloud before you could even bite your tongue. Ah, you think, oh no.
After adventuring all morning to purge nearby hillichurl camps and jump around collecting crystalflies, Diluc had suggested finding a place to rest. A quick dip in cool water has always been pleasant, so you led him to Springvale. The chatter of the hunters in the town just behind you and the swishing waters of the waterfalls seem to be enough white noise between you and Diluc, and you’re both tired, of course Diluc wouldn’t interest himself in such idle chit-chats.
Diluc shakes off his boots and rolls his pant legs up, sits on the edge, and dips his feet in. It seems methodical but you wonder how much of this is his routine. He is a renowned adventurer, after all. He says not a single word and you don’t really mind. Maybe you could just pretend that you never asked the question at all, as embarrassing as it is. This is Diluc and you know him, not interested in small talks and whatnot.
But he hums, and it’s quiet, before he snorts, “No.” The small smile playing on his lips stupefies you and it is the second time that you doubt your senses; did he just laugh? Was that even a laugh? Or did he just find my attempt at a conversation pathetic and he thinks I’m ridiculous and– “I’m not afraid of them, but they are bothersome.”
It feels as if the weight has been released off your chest. So it was a laugh, huh. Who knew.
You soon follow suit, submerging your feet in the cold waters of the lake, watching as the surface ripples. You lean back, not being able to stop the sigh of relief that escapes your mouth. The silence covers you like a blanket and it’s actually a delight. There is nothing but the waters washing away the soreness of your feet, and the fiery red man sitting beside you, and the Calla Lilies behind you, and the boar across the lake.
(You wonder if Kaeya were here and would agree on making an ice bridge just to catch the boar and get a few pieces of raw meat because you assume that none of you would want to swim.)
(Oh, speaking of Kaeya.)
Your hand reaches to pluck a Calla Lily out of the grass and you bring it close to your face, fingers twisting and eyes scanning the flower carefully as if you’re trying to pry its secrets apart. You’re not, and the flower probably holds no secrets anyway. You’re just thinking about how the Calla Lily is actually more known as the chubby lotus of Mondstadt and you want to giggle even more because — “Isn’t the Calla Lily Kaeya’s favorite flower?”
Diluc stops swinging his feet to turn to you, and he snorts. It’s a laugh, and you’re sure this time.
“What a silly thing to ask me,” he says.
“I had a feeling you’d know what his favorite is.”
Diluc nods, and he props his arm against the grass bed to lean back, watch the afternoon clouds. You don’t know if the nod is an affirmation of the Calla Lilies being his brother’s favorite flower, or of the fact that he knows. Maybe both.
The blanket returns and the silence stretches until the sun starts to set. You wonder if you should ask Diluc to go back to the city now, or to wait for him to ask instead. You watch the side of his face and gauge the next words to say, but nothing comes.
Diluc notices this, probably, because he breaks the silence instead. “Do you like them?”
You furrow your brows instead of giving him a proper answer so he clarifies, with a shade of pink tinting his cheeks, “The Calla Lilies, I mean.” Diluc clears his throat and looks away, the water splashing when he kicks and you wonder if this is another glimpse of the childlike, sunny Diluc you saw last week, in front of the flower shop inside Mondstadt’s gates.
“They’re okay,” you answer meekly. “They’re pretty, but I don’t like the way they taste.”
You continue to describe how the taste of the chubby lotuses feels absolutely repulsive on your tongue and how you were forced to drink Calla Lily medicine when you were a kid, when you get sick. They work, but that doesn’t take away the fact that these cute, orange flowers are better off to be admired than to be consumed. Diluc listens intently and the sun is now nowhere to be seen. The night has fallen and the Calla Lilies around the lake of Springvale bow as if to nap, and the story-telling of how you have a love-hate relationship with the flower has come to an end.
“Yeah,” Diluc breathes, maybe as an affirmation to everything you’ve said; an assurance to say that he did listen to every word, so he repeats, “yeah. I don’t either.”
Diluc had told you that he doesn’t get the appeal of Dandelions. They’re just bulbs of tiny seeds, he says, and he doesn’t think that they’re on par with the beauty of the rest of Mondstadt’s flowers.
Maybe he just doesn’t know how the Dandelion seeds spread their wings.
The moment you both had the opportunity to wander around, no commissions or duties whatsoever, you grab his wrist and pull him outside the city walls—Diluc’s well-kept and upheld image and presence be damned. The winds sing of freedom and the Dandelions sway to its tune.
“Dandelions,” you start, letting Diluc’s wrist go to allow you to crouch in front of a stem of one, “ride on the wind. Even without its feathered wings, it still holds the hope from afar within.”
You glance at Diluc, his presence still alluring as ever, and you wait for any sign of agreement or, at the very least, acknowledgment from him. He sways on the balls of his feet, brows knitted, before adding, “In a sense, the Dandelion represents the romantic spirit of love and freedom.” There is a hint of mischief in the corners of his mouth. “Right?”
Right. You could only roll your eyes at the red-haired man before turning your attention back to the Dandelion once again. You scoff at him—at the very obvious fact that of course he knows that. “Someone has the Mondstadt library archive entries memorized,” you tease.
Diluc imitates your position with his legs squatted and elbows rested on his thighs, except he’s an arms-length away from you and the Dandelion so you don’t really consider that as making a ton of progress.
You carefully pull the stem of the Dandelion and take a few steps toward where Diluc is, still crouching and all. He watches you move closer and there is evident confusion in his eyes, but he does not dare to move.
“I learned about Dandelions because they’re used in winemaking,” he retorts to your earlier jab that, to be quite honest, you’ve already forgotten.
You raise the bulb of Dandelion to his face, between you and him. You sway it carefully, only letting a few of its seeds fly away. Diluc remains confused, and he does not even try to hide it.
“I used to make wishes on Dandelions,” you beam, voice just as bright. “I believe that they could carry my desires to Celestia when they fly with the wind.”
The inexplicable presence that Diluc Ragnvindr carries falters for a second when it sinks in that your words are not a story, but a suggestion. You should try it, you mean to say. Make a wish. You only chose to word it that way because you know that Diluc wouldn’t hesitate to decline if you didn’t.
A sudden gust of wind blows, and a number of dandelion seeds fly—to you, to your left, towards the water, to the bridge, and to–
Oh no.
The inexplicable presence that Diluc Ragnvindr carries falters, completely now, when his nose crinkles and he sniffs and sniffs and he tries to rub away the itch in his nose but… well, he sneezes and it blows the rest of the seeds on the Dandelion bulb away.
With eyes wide, you watch as his cheeks and ears turn bright red. You would joke about how you almost don’t know where his fiery red hair starts and ends if you aren’t so shocked with it either.
“I…” he trails, then he sneezes again. “I made a wish before it all flew away.”
This time, your mouth drops. That’s… unexpected, isn’t it? I made a wish before it all flew away. Perhaps this is another glance at the childlike and sunny Diluc you’ve been wanting to see again since.
Diluc smiles sheepishly. “I like Dandelions, but they make my nose itch.”
The laugh you’ve been trying to hold back now comes in full force. It starts with a chuckle, and then it turns into small chortles, then it’s now just good, good laughs. Diluc, without a hint of the authority he always embodies, laughs with you.
Visible winds are what the citizens of Mondstadt call the plant that adores the wind—the Windwheel Asters. In Stormterror’s Lair, its petals spin and spin and you remember that Vind once told you that Windwheel Asters cannot grow in places with no wind nor plagued by strong storms. The orange flowers find rhythm in winds of gentle and nourishing give.
“It’s unbelievable, almost,” you tell Diluc with the raise of your fingers, a gesture to exaggerate your disbelief. “These asters seem out of place in Stormterror’s Lair.”
“Yes,” he affirms, then bends down and picks a flower by his feet. Its petals still spin in all its beauty and the contrast of its vibrance against the backdrop of the ruins, dark and alone, emphasizes the very purpose of it. Visible winds.
Diluc walks forward to hand you the aster, then he trudges back to pluck himself another one. He continues, “But they only grow where there are tender winds. It only means that the lair is not as desolate as the citizens believe it to be.”
You know what Diluc means. That Stormterror is still Dvalin; that he is still one of the Four Winds, the entities that the Anemo Archon entrusted the safety of Mondstadt to.
That there are still protectors of Mondstadt even if they are nowhere to be seen, impalpable but still ever-present, like–
Wind. This is, after all, the nation of wind.
Diluc probably does not mean refer to himself with his words at all, but you do. You fiddle with the Windwheel Aster in your hand and you watch its petals make the presence of the gentle winds known. An invisible force that guides the city of Mondstadt. Then you recall the gloved hand that holds the heavy claymore, the red hair that slashes through the breeze. Each move in a battle, calculated and done with grace.
You remember the legend of the Darknight Hero and how Diluc doesn’t want the people to know his name. You remember Diluc and you believe that there are still protectors of Mondstadt even if they are nowhere to be seen.
At late noon, the surrounding areas of Wolvendom become clear of any threat of hillichurls and Ruin Guards.
Diluc looks as if he isn’t tired at all, the sweat trickling down the side of his face seeming like a mere ornament. The sun is starting to set and the oncoming night paints the road up the territory of the Wolf of the North. The fiery red man props his claymore on the ground, steadying before he leans against it. You’re spread out on the grass, not even bothering for shame and modesty anymore.
“Unfair,” you scoff, narrowing your eyes at Diluc. “How are you not exhausted after all that?”
Diluc gives you a small laugh, and he looks at the row of Small Lamp Grasses across. “It has become routine to me.”
You follow his trail of sight, propping your elbows against the ground to sit up slightly. The wildflowers sit in silence and you almost hear crickets deep in the woods of Wolvendom, empty in the slowly unfolding night.
“We don’t have anything else for today, right?” you ask, the question lingering on your tongue. Diluc hums. “Then…”
“Then?”
“Would it be alright if we stay here until nighttime? Just until the lamp grasses light up.” There is heat growing on your ears, so you supply almost immediately with, “It’s alright if you don’t want to! I just want–”
“It’s fine,” Diluc cuts you off. He settles his claymore down and sits at a safe distance beside you. “They don’t show their wonder until night, after all. I want to see them light up, too.”
Diluc walks as if he’s thinking of nothing else but the way the ground beneath his feet carries him as he strides across Mondstadt.
He exudes what you would expect Diluc Ragnvindr to exude: an inexplicable presence that definitely would make the second of awe he had of the blooms dancing with the wind seem like it was only a figment of your imagination.
You know this. You’ve seen it for so many times and it still churns something in you. The thing is, though—the childlike and sunny Diluc Ragnvindr is not a figment of your imagination, after all.
At the base of the Starsnatch Cliff, a lone Cecilia sways with the breeze. You think there’s nothing special about it, for there are probably several more of the flowers on the way up. Diluc thinks otherwise, however.
Diluc asked you to come along with him somewhere. That somewhere, you find out now, is Starsnatch Cliff. The lone Cecilia comes into his view and he wastes no time to stride towards it. He crouches, removes his glove, then traces the petals of it with a nimble finger.
This is Diluc, still. You know this. You’ve seen it for so many times and it still churns something in you. This is not a figment of your imagination.
Mirth swirls in his fiery red eyes and somehow, he looks younger. Boyish, and unlike how he usually is. He turns to you and ushers you to come closer, so you do. This is the Diluc who stood in awe in front of Floral Whisper that day.
“Cecilias are my favorite,” he begins this time. “I don’t know why, but I’m just so drawn into them. They’re beautiful.”
Beautiful, the whisper and wonder of it all fit Diluc Ragnvindr in his entirety.
Maybe this is a mistake. Maybe you shouldn’t have done this. But it’s too late now, isn’t it? You’ve knocked on the large wooden door of the Dawn Winery manor and you’ve heard the footsteps of the young master growing louder at each second. Maybe–
The door opens and it reveals the embodiment of beautiful and you’re speechless. Maybe this is a mistake, but maybe you don’t mind making this mistake.
“Sorry,” you apologize as soon as you come to your senses. Diluc looks down at the bouquet in your hand, an arrangement of Mondstadt flowers with Cecilias in its center. The embarrassment washes into you now and words immediately escape your mouth, “Are these flowers okay? I’m sorry if it’s an overkill. You don’t have to accept it. I know Cecilias are your favorite so I asked Flora to make them like this. Ah, I should’ve asked if you wanted something like this at all. I’m sorry–”
Diluc propels to you to take the bouquet and set it aside. He pulls you closer, holds you by your shoulders then decides to hold your face between his warm hands instead. It sets your skin on fire but it doesn’t hurt, because Diluc protects and never intends to hurt anyone in any way.
This isn’t a mistake, because Diluc Ragnvindr will never be a mistake.
He puts his lips to use in the absence of words, planting a kiss against your forehead, childlike and sunny; beauty and all.

“Everything alright, my love?” He looks worried like he usually does when you don’t answer him straight away. Was something bothering you?
The first time you ever called Diluc by a pet name was a few months into your relationship and it was purely by accident. You had decided to wait for your boyfriend to close up the tavern, sitting on the very edge of the bar, feet unable to touch the ground as you swung them gently. Diluc was wiping down the tables, a soft humming coming from his throat, making a smile break out across your face as you listened to the soothing noise. The man’s voice was a melody to your ears and one that you could never get tired of. It was low and sweet like a slow dripping honey on a cool winter day, something you could listen to for hours on end. You were broken from your thoughts as Diluc nudged you gently, worry creasing his brow. You were so deep in your thoughts that you hadn’t even realized he was calling out for you.
Diluc was staring at you from where he stood on the other side of the counter, his usually tied up hair was beginning to slip from it’s confines, a few strands falling to frame his face. A smile graced your lips, slender hand gripping your boyfriend’s wrist to tug him between your parted legs. You take him being so close as a chance to tuck a stray hair behind his ear, leaning forward to slot your lips together in a sweet kiss. Diluc’s breath is stolen the moment your lips meet, breathy whine escaping as he presses himself closer into your embrace. He had been waiting all day to be wrapped up in your arms, and now that the tavern was closed, he wanted nothing more than to go home with you.
At his whine, a soft chuckle escapes your throat, moving to break the kiss and see the state that you have left him in after one kiss. Once your lips are parted, you take notice that Diluc’s face is nearly the same shade as his hair, making you smile at how embarrassed he looked. He really was craving attention wasn’t he?
“Oh darling...you look absolutely adorable…” You manage to breathe out, smile never breaking because he just looks so perfect standing before you like this.
You reach to cup his cheek in your hand, palm pressed up against the warm skin there and you press another lingering kiss to his lips. “Yes, darling?” you smirk, unable to look away as he begins to stutter out how he needs to finish locking up the tavern.
Diluc’s eyes snap open the moment that the pet name leaves your lips, he can feel his body beginning to heat up, and it isn’t because of his pyro vision. He is silent for a good minute before attempting to speak. “D-Darling? You called me darling?” He stumbled over his words at first, only succeeding in making his cheeks darken in color.
“Oh? Hurry up then so we can go home, okay darling?” Oh you were never going to stop calling him that.
It isn't uncommon for Venti to use pet names with you, often calling you 'My muse' just to see how your face flushes that lovely shade of red he has been dying to see. He loves to see that crimson red that stains your cheeks, mainly because it contrasts so well with your skin. Venti often calls you by pet names when the two of you are around anyone, he likes knowing that everyone understands you belong to him. However, these pet names always stretch into your private time as well, murmured against your lips as he tugs you impossibly closer to the warmth of his body.
"My muse, don't realize how beautiful you are after I am done kissing you?" He would whisper once he allows you to part your lips for air. He thinks you look the best after you have been kissed: eyes half lidded, lips parted for air, and your cheeks that wonderful crimson yet again. You were a walking masterpiece.
The first time you call him a pet name it is among the branches of the tree in Windrise. You are perched against the trunk of the tree, a book in your hands as Venti settles his upper torso between your spread legs. In his hands holds his lyre, fingers gently strumming the strings, and bringing forth only the most beautiful of melodies. You take a break from your book after a little while, closing it to lean forward and press your face against the Bard's neck. You breathe in the comforting scent of your boyfriend. Of home.
A small giggle escapes Venti's throat and he squirms slightly as your nose brushes against the sensitive skin of his neck. "My muse, that tickles..." He informs sweetly, fingers never once messing up a single note of his song. The simple sound of his giggle has your heart bursting with love and an uncontrollable need to hold him tighter...to never let him go.
"Archons, darling, the sweet sound of your voice makes my heart pound..." Your voice blows warm air against Venti's ear, but hearing your words has him freezing. Hands stilling on the Lyre in his hands, before he is quick to put it down so he can face you. As you come face to face, the Bard's eyes are practically shining, his cheeks are dusted with a brilliant red.
"You finally used a pet name for me, My Muse! It took you long enough!" He is pouting, but mirth warms his gaze. The way you laugh at his outburst makes him decide right then that he was the luckiest Archon in all of Teyvat.
You had been sitting with Xiao on the top balcony of Wangshu Inn when you first called him by a pet name. The sun was setting just beyond the horizon, it was a beautiful sight to behold with the birds drinking up the last bit of the dying light. However, as your eyes drifted over to your boyfriend, you couldn’t help but stop to stare at the beauty before you. Xiao’s golden eyes were practically glowing in the last few rays of the sun’s light, the gentle breeze swaying his hair just slightly to have you enraptured by his beauty.
A soft breath escaped your lips in awe, making Xiao turn his head towards you curiously, brows furrowing as he gazes over in your direction. “What are you st-”
“N-Nothing, Kitten! Y-You just look really nice with the way the light is shining on you…” As you go to explain, the pet name slips. Kitten? What were you thinking? Your cheeks shift as red as Diluc’s hair usually is, eyes casting anywhere, but the adeptus in front of you. Everything about him reminded you of a kitten, he would huff and glare at you often when in reality all he wanted was your affection. Not that he would EVER admit that out loud.
Xiao looks equally as surprised, his cheeks being bathed in scarlet as mere seconds go by. Did you just call him Kitten? Why that of all things? The Yaksha didn’t exactly hate the pet name, but there was no way he was going to admit how that simple name made his chest burst with an unusual warmth. “T-That is no way to address an Adeptus!”
Seeing the way your face falls upon hearing his exclamation, Xiao feel regret twisting in his chest. A small huff of annoyance escaping his throat as he tugs you to his chest, hand going to bury itself in your soft locks. "...you may call me what you please...as long as it stays between us." He warns, but even if you allow the name to slip in public, would he really be that mad at you?

Not many knew of today's occasion and that was okay. It was understandable that others were not in a celebratory mood since they aren't close to the red-haired tycoon. But Diluc not caring for today was a big deal for you.
Birthdays, in your opinion, should be worth celebrating. So, even if he isn't in the mood to celebrate, you will make today very special and reserved just for him.
-
When dawn broke, Dawn Winery was just starting to wake up. A few words exchanged in the halls that was barely audible, light footsteps of the workers across the hall.. But you have longed woken up and was full of energy.
You wanted today to be all about him and so you left the manor without telling him where you were heading. This would mean that Diluc will later wake up to the warm sun shining through the cracks of the curtains, but still be empty and cold, and mostly questioning your whereabouts.
The walk to the city would take a while so you had to get up early if you wanted to meet up with Diluc's.. Somewhat allies.
The streets was quiet, aside from the occasional animal sounds and wind rustling the leaves from trees. There were other early birds like shop owners as well but they were yet to fully get into the Mondstadt groove.
You walked past the shops and stalls and up a couple set of stairs to the Knights of Favonius' headquarters.
When you entered Jean's office, Jean, Lisa, and Amber were already there, chatting as they waited for everyone to arrive. "(Y/N), goodmorning," Jean turns towards you and greets you with a smile.
"Goodmorning." You noticed that there were only three people in front of you and looked around the room before asking, "Where's Kaeya?"
The three women shrugged their shoulders. Just then, as if on cue, the door behind you swung open which drew all of your attention.
There stood none other than Kaeya himself. For someone who is late, he looked disheveled; hair not properly brushed, clothes not properly straightened as he covers his mouth to yawn. "Goodmorning.." he says lazily, blinking away morning tears.
"Uh.." You three stared at him but said nothing and excused his tardiness. "Alright, now that we all are here, let's start with today, shall we?" Jean starts but later decided that you should be the one to break down today's plan for Diluc's birthday.
You know that Diluc will go to the tavern today but you needed him to get out and stay away. You've talked to Charles a couple days back and promised him remuneration if he could take over Diluc's shift, to which he accepted.
It was agreed upon that while you distract Diluc from going to the tavern and think about work, the others will be setting up the surprise.
After separating, you went to look for Diluc who, not surprisingly, was heading to the tavern. "Diluc!" you shouted, drawing the man to a stop and turn his attention to your direction.
You smiled as you run up to him, stopping short by him. "Goodmorning. How did you sleep?" you ask. "Adelinde said that you off to the Knights of Favonius' headquarters. Did you have something you need from them? You do know that I'm right here," he said, clearly not amused that you went to the knights so early in the morning.
You chuckled. "It's nothing important. I was asking for for a simple favour is all." "Then surely you could have asked me to do it." Wanting to dispel the negative energy, you thought fast of a way to make him stop thinking about the knights.
"Oh, Diluc, you're so cute when you're jealous," you said, squishing his cheeks together. He was unimpressed but sighs, deciding to just let it go.
"Alright. I have matters to attend to and the tavern. I'll see you later at home," he said, putting a hand on your head before shortly removing it and continuing his way to the tavern.
"H, hey, wait a moment!" You grab hold of his wrist. He turns his head and look over his shoulders. He hums a questioning tone. "It's a good day today, don't you think? So, let's just stroll around the city."
He arches a brow. "What is it that you want?" he asks, not wasting time to beat around the bush. "I want to spend today with you.."
He gave a simple 'oh' and avert his eyes, saying nothing. "So, can we spend this special day together?" you pleaded. "I can't.. The tavern--" "I asked Charles to take over," you asserted quickly. "Don't worry, I paid him beforehand."
He looks at you and you looked back with doe-like eyes. After a while, he eventually gave in. "Alright.." You smiled brightly. "So, what do you have in mind?" he asks.
"Nothing! I just want to spend time with you and maybe treat you to something," you answered honestly. "I don't really need anything.." Diluc said and that was true. He was one of the richest people of Teyvat after all, ruling over the wine industry. "I will be fine with a stroll."
You nodded and interlaced your hands with his. It was currently quarter past eleven which meant you still had long hours to waste away. You dragged him around the city, looking at everything that is familiar to you yet unfamiliar to him.
Even though Monstadt is his home, he only ever leaves his house to attend to business matters or the tavern, never really taking time off to stroll.
"Oh! Diluc, Diluc, let's get ice cream!" you burst in excitement when your eyes laid upon a familiar shop. "Ice cream? Isn't it a bit early for you to eat that?" His eyes narrows as he gives you a questioning look.
You turn to look at him and grin. "It's nearly afternoon. It's okay!" He sighs, giving in to your pleas and buying you ice cream. Yes, he's the one who paid and this is when he would not allow to be convinced by you.
"You'll have a stomach ache," he said. But in the end, he was happy with his decision. It was a good choice if it meant seeing you happy when you two stepped out of the shop.
You two walked further down the streets with you sneakily steering the walk away from the tavern. Who knows? Kaeya might slip up and the surprise would be ruined.
At the thought of him, your eyes wandered around, looking for signs of him. But instead of Kaeya, you see Amber carrying a party box just up ahead which made you nearly choke on your ice cream that you sucked in out of surprise.
"Hey, are you okay?" Diluc turns his head to you, full of concern. "Yeah, I'm fine.." you said between fits of coughs. After you finally stopped coughing, you looked up and look for Amber. Luckily, she was nowhere to be seen.
You sighed a sigh of relief. She must have heard and see you nearly die that she ran away. Diluc notices this and looks over to where you were staring at before looking back at you. "What are you staring at?" he asks.
"Oh, it's nothing.." You forced a chuckle and smile. "You have been awfully weird today.." he finally says. "First, you left early in the morning when it's your day off.."
"What, I can't go out when it's my day off?" you weakly defended yourself. "There is no issue with that.. If only you do that on a normal basis. Typically, you'd be sleeping until 12 in the afternoon," he said. "And secondly, you went to the knight's headquarters of all places for no reason, you said?"
"Ah.." You had to think of something to say. Otherwise, the surprise birthday won't be a surprise. Your eyes darted around the place until finally, it landed on Flora.
"Oh, come here!" You dragged him to Flora's stall and greet the little girl with a smile. "Welcome to Floral Whisper."
"Hey, Flora, can I buy one Cecilia?" The girl nods and picked out a fresh Cecilia and give it to you and you exchanged it for a pocket change of Mora.
You then turned to Diluc who was still waiting for an answer. Smiling, you leaned close to him and tucked the flower behind his ear and moved away.
He crosses his arms, looking unamused. "(Y/N)." You laughed at how funny he looks with that face while wearing a flower. "Come on and smile for me." You stretch his face upwards.
Seeing that you weren't going to tell him, he gives in and sighs. He figures that he will find out later today just what you were hiding all day.
He walks to Flora and asked for another Cecilia and returned back to you. "Hm? Do you like Cecilias?" you asked, looking at the one in his hand. "Having a favourite flower is silly," he said.
He took a step forward and outstretch his hand and place the flower behind your ears. You face felt warm as he remained silent, inspecting you with the newly added accessory.
"Let's get moving. We still have the whole day to spend," he said, turning around and walking away. Seeing his figure moving away, you blinked from a trance and caught up to him, a smile on your face as you interlaced your hands with him once more.
For the rest of the afternoon, Diluc was out treating you to things that have caught your eyes. Funny, since you were supposed to be the one treating him.
Kaeya soon interrupted your little date, casually walking up to the two of you with a smug look to him. "Ah, at last. I found you two," he greets.
"And I was just wondering why you've yet to show up," Diluc spat. "You were slacking off, weren't you?"
Kaeya laughs. "Come now, Diluc, I didn't get to where I am by being a slacker," he said, raising his arms beside him and shrugs. The redhead scoffs. "You all are incompetent so what do you know about work?"
"Don't be so mean, dear brother. You're hurting my feeling, y'know?" Kaeya said but not even lifting a muscle on his face to express a little bit of hurt. "What feelings?"
"Ouch. You should have gotten a Cryo Vision instead. I think the Gods have made a mistake," Kaeya said in a matter-of-fact tone. "Anyways, (Y/N), we've already finished setting up and I was tasked to deliver you this message."
You smiled excitedly. "Thanks for your help, Kaeya," you said, confusing the redhead beside you. "Now, Diluc, let's head to the tavern."
"The tavern? What for?" he asks, allowing himself to be dragged by the arm. You look at him over your shoulder. "You'll see!"
A couple of steps and the three of you soon stopped right in front of Angel's Share. "Well? Go open it!" you urged him on excitedly while you and Kaeya stood behind.
Diluc eyed you suspiciously but did as told. "Surprise!" Inside, friends greeted him with a loud and enthusiastic voice.
"Hey~ Glad you're finally here, Master Diluc!" Venti waves over from the bar. "Huh? Venti, what are you doing here?" you ask, peeking your head from behind Diluc.
"I'm here for the free wi-- err, I mean, to celebrate Master Diluc's birthday!" he answers.
"Hurry up and get in already," Kaeya said from behind you. "It's starting to get too cold for my liking."
You gently push Diluc inside, somewhat listening to Kaeya's demand. "Well, since Master Diluc is finally here, let's get that cake, food, and wine!" Venti said, already holding a wine bottle in his hand.
Jean came from the back of the room, holding a nicely decorated cake that was lit up with a couple of candles. And everything goes as follows: you all sang to him a happy birthday and wasted the night away. You, like the others, took the partying to the next level, finding yourself too wasted to lift a finger.
"Haha, you can't already be drunk, (Y/N)!" Venti laughs from beside you, drinking his 50th glass and nudges you another one on the cheek.
"Alright, I think they have had one too many glass." Diluc intervenes what used to be a drinking competition. "Wha~t? That didn't even last long!" Venti cries.
"They've already passed out," Diluc said, taking off his coat to put it on you. "I'll be taking them home. You all enjoy yourselves."
"Oh? Well, don't mind me!" Venti said, getting another glass and also looking for Kaeya, hoping he wasn't drunk just yet.
Diluc left the tavern and the rest of the guys, carrying a passed out you all the to Dawn Winery where he immediately asked Adelinde to bring him a large glass of water for you.
He knew you were going to drink but he didn't think you'd be dumb enough to accept a drinking challenge from Venti who could drink beyond a mortal's expectation.
Inside his room, he bears the difficult of changing you. Even though you two have been together for a really long time, it felt wrong of him to do something like this, but you were awfully sweaty and needed to be wiped clean with a wet cloth.
He contemplated but after a while, decided to go through with it, caring about your hygiene more than anything.
He only heaved a sigh of relief once he got you into your nightwear. "You're really a difficult one," he mumbles, getting into his own fresh change of clothes and climbing into bed beside you.
It was still early night, not even near midnight when Diluc allowed his eyes to trace every part of your face, the moon helping him to see. You looked at peace but Diluc knows that you wouldn't be able to go to work tomorrow.
He might not have expressed it, but Diluc is truly grateful for today and to have you keeping him company on cold nights.
Gently, he brushes your cheek with a hand while his other wraps around your waist to bring you close for more warmth, and place his lips on your forehead for a short while.
"Thank you for today.. And I hope you know that I will always love you."

The sun was starting to dip past the horizon as you made your way through the trellises in front of the winery. The day had been long and hard, fighting hilichurls until late this evening. The feeling of bruises starting to form and the pains of fighting are starting to settle in, the adrenaline finally starting to wear off. As you move to open the front door a stinging sensation lights up your entire left arm.
Looking to your left arm you notice the blood flowing from your shoulder. You take a second to process the fact that you were bleeding from a wound in your shoulder you hadn’t felt before now. Opening the door with your other arm, you swiftly walk into the winery and apply pressure to the wound as soon as you let go of the door.
You walk toward your shared bedroom and catch sight of Adelinde, when she turns to greet you she gasps and takes half a step back. “M’lady-” she says panicked, heading toward you to inspect the wound “-are you okay?” You nod with a slight smile on your face, “yes, I am okay. Would you be able to send some bandages and such to our bathroom, I would like to deal with the wound before Diluc arrives.”
She nods her head and moves to start gathering the materials. As she does that, you walk the rest of the way toward your room. You head straight to the bathroom from there, looking in the mirror to assess how bad the wound is. You remove your shirt, staring at the wound closer, before hearing the door open.
You look up in the mirror expecting Adelinde before catching sight of Diluc standing behind you, holding the materials to clean and dress your wound. You turn to him before looking away when he starts walking closer. He sets everything down before wetting a rag and starting to clean around your wound.
“Diluc, you don’t have to do this love. You have probably had a long da-” he cuts you off “- my dear, I would do this a million times over just to make sure you are alright.” He looks up at you to make sure he isn’t hurting you with what he is doing. When you make eye contact he sends you a small smile to which you send one back in return.
As he continues to clean and dress your wound, you raise your uninjured arm and place it on the side of his face, running your thumb on his cheek. He leans into your touch while he puts the finishing touches on the dressing. Once he’s done, he stands to his full height and looks back at your face. “What happened to cause such a wound dear,” he asks. You walk out of the bathroom with him following, sitting on the bed while he starts to change from the day.
“To be honest with you, I didn’t feel the wound until I was going to open the front door. I assume it happened sometime today while clearing camps.” You look at him as he pulls his night shirt on, looking towards you as he pulls another from his closet and motions for you to change into it. You happily do so before turning around to face him. “I never got to say it, but welcome home love.”
He smiles at you and takes a step forward, wrapping his arms around your waist. You follow his lead by placing one hand on his nape and the other on his shoulder. He leans forward and you meet him halfway, noses brushing as lips meet. The smell of oak and smoke enveloped you, along with the warmth of the man in front of you.
He pulls back slightly before leaning in again for a quick peck, resting your foreheads together afterward. His hand had moved to rest on the back of your head and yours had moved to pull the tie from his hair. “Thank you, my dear.”

The cool evening air felt good against your skin as you walked through Mondstat. The day was long, spent outside the walls running commissions and fighting different camps. All of the running around left no time for your usual stop in with your lover around noon.
Angel’s Share is quiet when you enter, only the noise of glasses clinking every once in a while. You take a quick glance around until your eyes land on the red of Diluc’s hair. He stands tall behind the counter, his usual jacket thrown on one of the bar stools and his sleeves are rolled to above his elbow.
“Angel’s Share isn-” He looks up “- [Name], hello dear.” He sends you a small smile as you step towards him, turning around to grab a glass for you. You observe him as he does so, noting how his ponytail has fallen since this morning, and how tense his shoulders seem even though it is just the two of you.
He places a glass filled with grape juice, his special blend, in front of you as you sit down. You grab the glass and take a sip, savoring the taste as he continues his routine cleaning. You watch him for a moment, appreciating how calm he stands when in only your presence. “How was your day love,” you ask, while leaning your head into one of your palms. Your head tilts towards him as he starts to speak, “it was alright dear. The tavern ran as usual today and, of course, both Kaeya and that pesky Bard were here until I had to kick them out.”
He made a face at the fact, “My patrol this morning was pretty normal, though there are a few Fatui camps closer to the walls that weren't there before.” He takes a quick glance at your face and sees you looking at him already. When you both made eye contact you shoot him a small smile, though the way you were looking at him was enough for his face to heat a little.
He placed down the glass he had just finished cleaning and walked closer to you from behind the bar. He grabbed your hand as he got closer and kissed the back, leaving a slight color to your face as well. “And how was your day dear,” he questions.
He throws the towel to rest over his shoulder and leans forward to rest his forearms on the bar across from you. He watches you as you talk about how busy your day was, apologizing about not being able to stop by earlier that day, to which he shakes his head at.
He watches the way the low lighting of the tavern makes your skin glow, and how your eyes light up as you speak of a Snapdragon you saw in Springvale that reminded you of him. Diluc continues to admire you, quite obviously, until you notice that he has said nothing to what you are saying.
You look at him only to notice that his eyes are set on you, and the most serene expression is on his face as he watches you, lost in thought. “Love-” you question, tilting your head slightly “-is there something on my face?” “No dear, I was just enjoying how you looked as you spoke of your day.”
You turn away blushing, trying to hide your face from his view. He chuckles slightly as he stands to his full height, grabbing your now empty glass to clean it off quickly. You take these few seconds to reign in the color on your face.
You feel a hand on your lower back, you recognise the feeling of Diluc’s gloves. You look at him to realize he has put his jacket and gloves back on. You stand, pushing in the bar stool you were sat on, and take the arm that he offers you. “Ready to go home my dear?”
