*Athy is cooking* Lucas: Any chance that’s for me? Athy: It’s for Jenny. I’m planning on making some bad choices tonight, and I need them on my side. Kiel: I never realized the forethought that went into being a disappointment.
----
Athy: Is stabbing someone immoral? Lucas: Not if they consent to it. Kiel: Depends who you’re stabbing. Jenny: YES?!?
----
Athy: Have you seen a person named 'Lucas' around here? Kiel: Ugh, yes. They made a horrible mess of the blood fountain. Jenny: It looks fine to me? Kiel: IT USED TO BE WATER!!!
---- Athy: Why is Lucas so sad? Kiel: They took one of those “Which Character Are You?” quizzes Athy: And...? Lucas: They got Jenny.
I'm back hehehe :v
(I just realize that i write jennette MARGARTA not MARGARITA 😭)
Re-reading who made me a princess and Claude de Alger Obelia they will never make me like you. The fact that his own daughter (who was a grown ass woman stuck in the body of a child when the story takes place) had to put on a “teehee I’m so harmless and meek uwu” persona just to NOT GET EXECUTED just shows how pathetic he really is. I get that the author intended for him to be morally grey and have character development but it feels so unsatisfying especially when he never has to own up to his actions in the first life.
Before anyone tries to defend him, just THINK. What if athy didn’t look like her dead mother? What if she was disabled? What if she was academically challenged? Most importantly, what if she tried to get close to her father, did her best to make him proud, but didn’t know his oh so tragic backstory or the fact that he would literally kill her when she was no older than 18? Oh right, that’s what happened in her first life, and she gets beheaded for it.
Don’t even get me started on the “um actually Claude was under the influence of black magic” bs. Yes, he was affected by black magic that HE CHOSE TO INFLICT ON HIMSELF. It doesn’t make him look better or misunderstood or complex, it just shows how much of a coward he really is.
All in all I wish the author actually expanded more on Claude’s character, not through his backstory but him facing the consequences of his actions in the first life. I’ve only read the manhwa tho, maybe the novels does a better job at this idk.
Feel free to share ur opinions, I’d love to talk abt this manhwa with you!
