Okay so, the best friend that I have a crush on that I mentioned in a previous post, I visited a lil while ago in her state. I literally stayed with her for a week. I was so distracted by trying to act straight in front of her very religious and conservative family that I completely missed all of her signals she was giving me that she was into me. And I’m only realizing then NOW. WEEKS later...

She literally joked that I would look really good with my SHIRT OFF, and specifically pointed out that she sang the lyrics in a song that says “I like boys and girls” and her older sister gave her a weird look like... And if that isn’t enough, the moment we landed and got in the car to drive back to her place, she puts on a song from girl in red, which I sang too and was like, “oh, you listen to girl in red?” Like, that’s supposed to be the signal!!! How did I miss it!!!! We flirted so goddamn much the entire week and I never made a move because I was worried that she wouldnt be into girls!!!!! She was giving me all the signals and apparently I’m fucking blind. UGHGGGHGHHH

hey if someone in your life changes their name or pronouns you are in fact expected to spend time on your own updating the way you think of them. that is a basic expectation of deceny.

I’m in a very unique situation where right now, I’m like SUPER lonely and let me tell you why. At the start of the pandemic I was living in another country, I had a lot of friends in high school, many of them were super close to me.

But in May I graduated and moved back to America where I don’t know anyone other than my immediate family, whom I am living with. I’m currently in college but all my classes are online so I don’t ever see anyone, I’m just reading textbooks and taking quizzes. Also since we are in a fricking pandemic all the club activities and sports that I usually would participate in are cancelled, i have legitimately zero interactions with people my age to make friends.

I am still keeping up with the friends from high school but they are spread out across multiple different countries now and seeing them in person just isn’t a possibility right now. I FaceTime them when I can but it’s not the same and I feel like I’m literally going insane I’m so touch starved.

This coming semester I’m hopefully going to get a job so maybe I’ll make friends there, and I’ll be moving onto campus in the summer, so I know this loneliness won’t last indefinitely, but it sure damn hurts hella bad right now. Anways, if y’all have any advice on how to make friends during this weird time, let me know, any and all advice is appreciated.

Syndrome (The Incredibles) - Strived to overcome the differences between himself and people born naturally gifted with superpowers through discovery and innovation

Evelyn Deavor (The Incredibles 2) - Wanted people to strive for more than just ease and consumption, and have people be capable of taking care of themselves and experience their own life while dealing with trust issues due to her tragic past

Charles Muntz (Up) - Wanted to prove himself to be a great explorer and regain his dignity by finding the one thing that would redeem himself

Chick Hicks (Cars) - Was just being competitive and wanting to do his best to become accomplished, (although he was being quite a dick about it)

Randall Boggs (Monster’s Inc.) - Kind of the same as Chick Hicks, very competitive and strived to become top scarer and become better than the naturally gifted Scully

Lotso (Toy Story 3) - Was trying to cope with rejection and set up a system to protect himself from experiencing that hurt again

These are the ones I could think of and remember off the top of my head. Real good writing in these movies. Incredibles 2 hit me hard ngl, was a little too close too home.

The thing I love most about Pixar movies is how I understand all their villains and they are all relatable. I understand where they’re coming from and I feel sympathy for them. But it tears my heart apart because they feel like they need to take things to such an extent to be heard. Good motives, wrong methods.
