Materials: 1. Food Coloring 2. Liquid Dish Washing Soap 3. 3 Tablespoons of Warm Water 4. 1 Tablespoon of Dry Yeast 5. ½ cup of 20-volume hydrogen peroxide from a hair salon 6. Empty 16 ounce Plastic Bottle 7. Small Cup 8. Safety Goggles 9. Tray
Steps: 1. First, put on your safety goggles and place a tray in front of you. 2. Next, pour the hydrogen peroxide in the bottle. (Make sure to have an adult complete this step) 3. Then, add 8 drops of any food coloring of your choice in the bottle. 4. Next, add 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap into the bottle and swish it to have the materials mix. 5. Then, combine the warm water and yeast together in a separate small cup and mix for 30 seconds. 6. Finally, place the bottle in the tray and pour the yeast water mixture into the bottle.
Lesson: While doing this experiment, foam appears having each tiny foam bubble filled with oxygen. The yeast acted as a catalyst or helper to remove the oxygen from hydrogen peroxide. If you touch the bottle, you notice that it is warm. That means your experiment made a reaction called exothermic reaction because it creates heat.
This is what it looks like when you use warm water to dispose of a little bit of liquid nitrogen on your roof terrace.
Octopuses are smart! They play with toys, pull off daring escapes, and are masters of disguise. But they’re also smart in a lot of ways that the human mind probably can’t comprehend. For example, they basically have independent brains in their arms!
Artificial Water waves
As fundamental forces go, gravity is pretty weak. It can easily be overcome by air pressure, as this classic demo shows.
Due to colorless irises, the red hue from the blood vessels is visible causing a ‘red-eye’ effect.

Vine 1 of 2 on how heat causes air to move. The flame creates an air current that turns the paper.
I’m super here for magic and science meeting together in the best ways. I got this idea from a children’s science experiments book. Add a little bit of magic into the mix, and you’ve got a fantastic ward!
What you Need
Salt (epsom or sea salt seems to work best)
Gem water
String (I used jute twine)
Two cups
Something to heat water with
That’s it. It’s a super easy and super powerful ward, but it does take some time.
So what you need to do is create a super saturated salt solution. You’ll want to make a gem water that aligns with your intent. I used obsidian and black tourmaline to make my gem water (and I may have tossed a rose quartz in there too because I used that for everything).
Once your gem water is ready, you’ll want to heat it up, either in the microwave in a microwave safe bowl or on the stove. In order to make a super saturated solution, you need A LOT of salt. Keep dissolving the salt in the water until it won’t dissolve anymore. (This is why the heat is necessary. Salt dissolves quicker.) Keep pouring and dissolving salt until salt grains remain even with heat and stirring. I also recommend stirring clockwise in order to give it a little extra oomph.
When you have your solution, pour it into two separate glasses or cups. Get a length of string and place each end in the cups of salt water. Set the cups with the string between them somewhere it won’t be disturbed. (I set mine on the windowsill because easy access and hey, charged with sunlight and moonlight!)
It will take a few days, but slowly the salt solution will start to creep over the edge and along the string. When the water is gone/the string has grown salt crystals along it, take it out and place it somewhere in your room/house. I’d recommend by a door or window so that it keeps evil from entering.
You can also use this method with a paperclip, and grow salt crystals on a paperclip or pencil or any mundane item. You just need the solution and something to hang in the water. (You’d only need one cup for that!)
Be careful if you choose to add any sort of color or herbs to the solution. It is chemistry, so I’d mostly just recommend using salt and water. Adding other things to the water may impact the growth of the salt crystals.
I’ve also found that the leftover salt is an excellent cleansing agent. Add some to your bath/shower or even food (if you’re using some sort of sea salt/table salt/kosher salt). I rubbed a little bit on my third eye when I was having some psychic problems, and it definitely cleansed it out and protected it. I highly recommend using any leftover salt not on the string as a cleansing agent in any of your spells. It seems to be pretty a pretty potent protective agent. Salt is already potent in warding, and coupled with gem water it’s a pretty powerful ward.
Hope this helps! If you use this, let me know how it goes for you!
A small lump of potassium reacting with water to create potassium hydroxide and hydrogen. The reaction is very exothermic, and the heat ignites the hydrogen, making a big explosion.
How To Create Electricity From Falling Water
You can generate sparks of 5,000 to 10,000 volts of electricity using only two streams of water and metal mesh. Want to replicate the experiment at home? See how… http://bit.ly/1rxaoKJ
Hi everyone! I'm Ashley P. and I'm a Girl Scout who wants to make a difference in the world. Currently, I've been working on my Gold Award Project, which is a project where Girl Scouts solve an issue in their community to earn the Gold Award. The Gold Award is the highest award a Girl Scout can achieve. In my project, I'm addressing the issue on how there are a lack of women in the STEM field by creating a program to do fun science experiments with younger girls. Also, I constructed this blog for parents and children to do exciting and simple experiments with their kids to spark a passion in this subject like what happened to me as a child. I hope you enjoy and try to accomplish the experiments I post! Also, please have adult supervision while completing these experiments.
