So I fucking adore time loops in any piece of media I consume (within reason [mostly fanfic])
Characters starting of pretty normal and trying to escape
That point in some plots where they realise they aren't the only ones trapped
~Trauma bonding and shenanigans (angsty or crack) ensue~ The effect of how many cycles or loops spent on them (specifically if there's only one trapped in a timeloop ooo that some good existential angst there) And then either they come out or they don't
But either way they changed
and sometimes aren't even recognisable as who they once were (Ship of Theseus anyone?)
as they slowly go through stages of a time loop, often falling into a state of insanity, then depression (sometimes those are switched), and many different phases before falling somewhere unknown
sometimes good
sometimes depressing
sometimes bad
And if they do escape the fluff and comfort (or heart-breaking angst :)) makes for (at least in my opinion) a beautiful and fulfilling story
It can lead to some very interesting situations and analysation
anywho I just love time loops
People on my phone, please hear me out: Siffrin ISAT but Vibrant Eyes from CG5. Please, hear me out-
enough about the timeloop I wanna hear about the post-timeloop.
person who just got over the horror of being trapped and settled into a comfortable routine...but then the timeloop breaks and they struggle to reacclimatize. person trapped in a loop for years who grieved their loved ones—who are suddenly back and acting like nothing happened (because for them nothing did). teenager who aged physically and mentally during the timeloop and now they're so much older than they're supposed to be. random strangers who were trapped in a loop together relieved to get away from each other at last, but feeling oddly bereft of familiar company. service worker who is pissed as fuck to have to go back to work
