A rainbow is always a pleasure to see.
Late autumn evening moon
What sights will we see on our trip
The captain tells us many sea tales in a zip
Perhaps we’ll spot mermaids swimming near our ship
Protecting us from the sirens murderous grip
So many treacherous treasures we could see
With our X marked map and nifty key
Chests of riches hoarded by serpents of the sea
With our wit we shall take it and flee
What sights shall we see on our sailing trip
To hear the screams of the draugen from their ruined ship
Challenging us to a fast pace race to the beach strip
Forced to sail back with my mates and me in a whip
So many treacherous tales to tell and see
The ideas of adventure fill my mates and me with glee
Our captain toasts to her crew and beloved Marie
For no treasure surpasses times spent with my mates and me
Remember all the times spent in the grocery store
Memories of long aisles to effortlessly explore
Never once thinking it was an unpleasant chore
As we checked our list of essential items galore
Not even remembering how it all started out
Putting together lists like an advisor o devout
Only scanning the list as we eagerly scout
Quickly finding everything with no doubt
Do you miss our frequent grocery store run
I know to many it’s not worth a note of fun
Nor is it an adventure story of reaching the sun
Nevertheless I still feel like I have won
For nothing measures up to trickles of gold
The small moments becoming grand and bold
Unlike any lavish riches or treasures to behold
Moments spent with you can never be undersold
Racing into the night
Running away from the light
Hiding from the loud daylight
As I wait for the approaching twilight
I look for the silver moon
As I listen for the tune
Of the ending afternoon
Racing into the night
The stars begin to ignite
As the silver moon reaches its height
I stretch my wings to finally take flight
I’ll trace all the constellations as I fly
Until I hear the morning sigh
Of the sun about to approach the sky
