Someone: Wow you’re so easy to talk to! I feel like our personalities fit so well together!
Me: thanks i made this one special just for you
something that people really dont understand about ADHD is that we dont “jump from one idea to the next”
we have very fast, very associative minds that connect ideas. we have a train of thought, it just goes WAY faster than yours!
example: im thinking about dogs. that makes me think of pitbulls, which makes me think of an animal planet show i enjoy. the show connects to tv in general, which makes me think of my favorite cartoon. i associate my favorite cartoon with art and animation, and i wind up thinking about shading techniques.
TL;DR: having ADHD is kinda like playing a lifelong game of 7 Degrees of Kevin Bacon
Society, don't be so harsh on people. The world cant move forward without it. The world is such a beautiful place yet in the same time it is the worst. Don't you ever realize? Everyone's the same yet they are all different. Every individuals have their own perspective on world, and disagreeing it doesn't prove that its wrong. We don't know the true perspective cause we are all different. Is it wrong to have different thoughts?, if it is, why? Everyone is different and i tell you don't even try to judge every one of them cause they are not wrong and yet they are not right either cause they all have different stories and different mental. Not everybody can do that you know, cause we are not the same yet we are expected to be one, one of the world, one of the colorless world. We are expected not to fail and while its happening the told us that the understand and they know we are human. Society has gone so far that they consider it the "right"
from 13 year old me, to society.
warning: English is not my first language. so forgive me if i have typos or grammar errors.
i’m fluent in talking shit
Might have these out of order but just a good thread to share.
my dad–also a writer–came to visit, and i mentioned that the best thing to come out of the layoff is that i’m writing again. he asked what i was writing about, and i said what i always do: “oh, just fanfic,” which is code for “let’s not look at this too deeply because i’m basically just making action figures kiss in text form” and “this awkward follow-up question is exactly why i don’t call myself a writer in public.”
he said, “you have to stop doing that.”
“i know, i know,” because it’s even more embarrassing to be embarrassed about writing fanfic, considering how many posts i’ve reblogged in its defense.
but i misunderstood his original question: “fanfic is just the genre. i asked what you’re writing about.”
i did the conversational equivalent of a spinning wheel cursor for at least a minute. i started peeling back the setting and the characters, the fic challenge and the specific episode the story jumps off from, and it was one of those slow-dawning light bulb moments. “i’m writing about loneliness, and who we are in the absence of purpose.”
as, i imagine, are a lot of people right now, who probably also don’t realize they’re writing an existential diary in the guise of getting television characters to fuck.
“that’s what you’re writing. the rest is just how you get there, and how you get it out into the world. was richard iii really about richard the third? would shakespeare have gotten as many people to see it if it wasn’t a story they knew?”
so, my friends: what are you writing about?
Remember when Ayato showed concern for Hina
Now Urie saves Mutsuki
Is Ishida testing us with our ships
reaction pics everyone will still understand even with the text removed
Please stop his suffering
i aspire to be like him.
Taka: I’m quick at math.
Hayato: Oh, really? What’s 67 times 83, then?
Taka: 43
Hayato: Not even remotely close.
Taka: But I was quick
