God I remembered why I hate Fulgrim slander. It's the same shit with Toreador slander, "oh the toreadors are weakling fops obsessed with their looks haha *insert shallow joke*" and it's fucking stupid
How the fuck is a bad stereotype all you're getting out of this.
You know, I can kind of see the fire prism one.
And now I want to see someone draw shipgirl-like versions of each of those tanks.
(I would but I suck at drawing)
what warhammer tank do you think is the most fuckable looking?
Objectively, the Caladius Grav-Tank is pretty and curvy and fancy, but the Hekaton Land Fortress, if that counts, is four Cs thicc at the back, which you simply can't ignore. The Fire Prism brings that "femboy packing a monster can" energy which is quite popular nowadays, and so worth consideration. The Baneblade line is obviously appealing at a surface level, but the poor ballistic skill speaks to a quantity-over-quality situation that would leave even the neediest Magos disappointed.
If I ever write a book, it's going to be half mad social ranting and half epic anime battles.
40k is just an inherently homoerotic setting.
I've begun reading the Horus Heresy, and despite some of the authors intentions and descriptions of various women to make the book "straight", it is wildly homoerotic. Every time a primarch or astartes is described it would probably be less gay if they just had gay sex. Needless to say it's quite enjoyable
uk people, sign and share
non uk people, share but don't sign
terfs, get in the bin and stay there
The glove has spoken.
Who did this? XD
I think the Dark Angels would probably also have Watcher In The Dark plushies. They're just some little guys.
So I had this idea for some drawings I might do in the future, since my warhammer brainrot has come back.
I remember when I did a sleepy chibi Lion El'Jonhson, during a conversation with a friend, she said he needed a sleeping buddy, a lion knight plushie.
That got me thinking lately..
What if each loyalist legion has their own line of plushies for sale? Like merch!
Their main purpose is as imperium propaganda for kids, but i also thought it would be an interesting source of revenue for a chapter of space marines to have, as well as serving for comfort for the children of the Imperium since the 42nd Millenium isn't very nice all around.
However there are a few questions about the plushies that i have:
- Little space marines are the most obvious answer, but I find that a little too boring, though I think some space marine plushies probably already exist in canon
- Little animal buddies, based off ancient Terran animals and myths, but in space marine armor, while I like this idea, there's a problem with it, not all legions have a clear animal motif I can think of:
Dark Angels - Lions
White Scars - Horses (?)
Space Wolves - Wolves
Imperial Fists - ???
Blood Angels - ???
Iron Hands - ???
Ultramarines - Eagles (?)
Salamanders - Dragons
Raven Guard - Ravens/Corvids
Are they just little guys in space marine armor?
Are there different version of the plushie for different ranks?
Could the plushies each have a common trade amongst imperial citizens (like a farmer or factory worker) instructing children abt those vital roles in the functioning of the Imperium?
Or perhaps they could instruct the different jobs one might have within a space marine chapter, like apothetecary or librarian?
Maybe they each could symbolize a kind of world in the Imperium, like the Dark Angel's represents the Feudal Worlds, the Space Wolves' represent the Death Worlds, etc..?
I honestly find the last 2 ideas very interesting, but I do want to know what people think about this idea in general
Here's an image to examplify the kind of cute plushie vibe of thought these guys would have:
Thank you all for enjoying my rant about plushies and 40k ৻( •̀ ᗜ •́ ৻)
And?
The point is never "It would be a better story if this happened". Nobody is saying "The Horus Heresy would be a better story if Fulgrim didn't fall to Chaos".
‘if only fulgrim didn’t pick up the sword he could have’ could have what. could have what. stayed under the oversight of a distant father figure? kept pressuring himself and his sons to be perfect and flawless all the time? been disposed of when he’d served his purpose? i hate you
I can imagine Fulgrim looking a little uncanny (to quote a forum thread not even slightly related, he should be "straddling the line between alluring and disturbing"). But he shouldn't look ugly. He should be beautiful, but with this creeping feeling underneath, that something isn't quite right.
Did you see Snek Fulgrim back? This is a masterpiece! This is why Lucius, Saul, favius etc. has beautiful arses 😄
Yeah, I've seen this and to be honest, I don't really know how to feel about it.
The sculptor, who did this model, said in an interview, he made Fulgrim's face ugly on purpose (because Chaos, yadda, yadda), despite him being described as beautiful in the novels (yes, even the demonic version. Terrifyingly beautiful - and the new miniature's mug is anything but beautiful).
So this overdimensional gluteus maximus (that isn't needed for a snake) smacks of ridiculing Fulgrim and pigeonholing him into something, because it doesn't come from a place of love by its creator.
Yeah, I know, I may be overinterpreting things here, but that's just how I feel.
If you love the model - absolutely all the power to you!
But I won't buy it. Those are my Fulgrim-minis and when my hobbyspace is up and running again, I will paint them.
"Dear diary, a creepy giant stared at me today. I didn't like it as much as I thought I would".
had a thought at how the npcs on the ship in space marine 2 are just going about their day yapping to the superior or inferior officers and then Titus just walks up beside them, and he just... stops. listens to your entire conversation, and then just continues like ??? how would one even react to that?
He is one of many characters that gets reduced to a joke in meme lore.
Hell, I'm not even sure if this one is entirely TTS's fault, too. He's pretty menacing there if you think about it for a nonzero amount of time.
I have reposted the girlfail-post, because it's fun and I got a laugh out of it, but my more earnest opinion is: Lucius is incredibly successful.
Some of his accomplishments without any claim to completeness:
Beating the Mournival in consecutive duels (Loken cheated by Emperor's Children-standards, so fuck him)
He's made Captain in a perfectionist Legion of Aristocrats, despite hailing from gladiatorial pits.
He made Palatine Blade - elite of the elite
He organized a coup against Fulgrim, because he wanted the demon out and survived (by staying mostly out of it, but that shows that he has a brain indeed)
He impressed Slaanesh enough to become his Champion.
He impressed Fulgrim enough the Primarch strongarmed Fabius into reviving Lucius.
He impressed Ahriman enough the Chief Librarian kept him as bodyguard/killer (and didn't betray him - a rare occurance with Ahriman).
He isn't the most social guy, yet he became leader of a rather successful warband.
He killed a Bloodthirster (with the help of his Raptors, but still!)
40k Fulgrim uses him as his personal hitman.
He had fun fighting and killing in Commorragh (he got asked to leave).
And that's just from the top of my head. Lucius is one of the most successful, ruthless Chaos Marines still in existence.
Femboys, Warhammer 40,000, Battleships, and whatever else crosses my mind
