My wife is the coolest. I turn 30 at the end of the month and as an early birthday present she made me a homemade plush of my favorite character from Bug Fables, Kabbu.
Here’s the character:
And here’s the plush she made:
HE’S SO SOFT AND HUGGABLE!!!! I LOVE HIM!!!! AND I LOVE MY WIFE! SHE’S THE BEST!!
Holy shit! I'm posting on Tumblr!
Okay, with that out of the way, watchlist time!

There will probably be more added to this list as I learn about more shows but that's it so far. Although, I also plan to catch up on shows now that I'm getting a HiDive account. Such as:

MASHLE!!! APRIL!!! LET’S GOOOOOOOOO!!!!
This is one of the funniest series I’ve ever read. I can’t recommend it enough. One of my favorite series running in Jump right now, though it is close to ending. Anyway, this trailer is great. Perfectly captures the series. Go read or watch Mashle. 🤩
Man, between Shadows Over Loathing shadow dropping on Switch last week, Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed dropping yesterday, and Tears of the Kingdom coming out in less than three weeks, I am set on video games for the next couple of months. 🤩
Please please please retweet this if you can. I'm in an incredibly rough spot, and need all of the help I can get financially. My roomie is out of a job, and it's on me to make up as much as I can in order to foot the bills... and I'm very sick, without medication I need, so I can't force more work at my job. Please spread this, if you can't help. It means the world to me.
And if you can donate, please send a small donation. Any bit helps! https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=KJ7FG4NYSE2FU
Last week, Nintendo had an Indie World Showcase. It's like a Direct but primarily for indie games from developers all around the world. A lot of cool games were shown (Have a Nice Death, Pepper Grinder, and Oni, to name a few) but the one that really grabbed my attention was this weird looking game that was released on the same day. Once Upon a Jester. It's about these two friends, Sok and Jester, and their quest to win a chance to perform at the kingdom's Royal Theatrical Spectacle. This, however, is a ruse so they can steal the Royal Diamond! A game where two idiots perform improv theatre so they can steal a big jewel? Sign me up!
The game itself was really fun! The developers, Bonte Avond, recorded most of the dialogue in one take. It definitely shows. But this is by no means a criticism. In fact, the way the dialogue is recorded makes the improv in the game feel much more authentic. Plus it's really funny to see what they came up with. The gameplay is pretty simple, with the player needing to complete quicktime events during the performance to get a good score. The main goal with each performance is to get 5 bouquets from the audience, with a total of fifteen in each town you perform in. If can't get five in one performance, no worries. You can keep trying as long as you need. The plot isn't going anywhere. Also, since the developers are primarily musicians, the music slaps. As someone who spent all of high school and college doing theatre, I can't recommend this game enough.
This isn't so much a review as much me wanting to talk about this really charming game. If you have a Switch or Steam and an appreciation for theatre, then Once Upon a Jester may be for you.
Oh, also Corpse Husband has a cameo in the game. It's hilarious.
I’ll be finishing up my playthrough of Paper Mario tonight! It should be fun! Next week I’ll be starting a new playthrough! Stream’ll start at 7:30 pm (CT).
Bowser Progress:
We have a face! Yay! Only seven bags left to go.
Now that we've kinda finalized our list, I can finally put this out.
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End (Favorite of this list)
Undead Unluck (Other favorite of this list)
Tearmoon Empire
Shangri-La Frontier
My New Boss is Goofy
The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent Season 2
Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2: The Shibuya Incident (continuing from the summer season)
Shows I'm gonna catch up on:
Bungo Stray Dogs Season 5 (My wife and I watch the dub so we were waiting for that to wrap so we could binge)
The dub for Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War part 2
Dark Gathering
Insomniacs After School
And that's all for now! This season's looking pretty good! I've been anticpating both Frieren and Undead Unluck for a while now so I'm glad to see them both finally get anime adaptations.
