Joint pain tips from someone “too young to have chronic pain”:

[I’m not a doc or a medical professional, take with a grain of salt]

- NSAIDs like ibuprofen/aleve are hard on the stomach and liver. If u take it consistently, consider lidocaine pain patches, tiger balm, or topical NSAIDs. (Still bad for liver with consistent use, but not on the stomach obv)

-foam rollers are real nice for thigh or back/neck pain. If you need it for shoulder stretching, make sure to get one long enough to lay ur whole spine and head on.

-rly good shoe inserts are stupid expensive but getting properly sized for one at a place like REI can rly save you a lot of foot, ankle, and knee pain.

-speaking of shoes plz find ones that have enough room for the tootsies. We’re talking abt bone health here.

-you can use KT or other athletic tape to give minor support, compression for medium, and splints/braces for more serious support. Don’t let braces take over keeping ur body in shape tho.

-in my experience, tube/sock-like braces stay in place the best. I’ve tried the kind that Velcro and they slipped constantly.

-if u overwork a tendon, muscle, or joint, it can take a lot longer for it to heal then when it just stops hurting. Be careful to reintegrate activities slowly after an injury.

-while it kinda makes ya feel silly, walking “like a robot” can help hypermobile/ligament laxity folks to keep proper motion in mind

-upside down criss-cross and w-sitting are horrendous for your knees and make your PTs sad

-if you are doing arm exercises, try not to extend your arms back beyond the line of your shoulder

-to my ND folks: try to rest your arms sometimes, Trex arms are comfy but bad for circulation and joints

-if it feels like your eyes are trying to burst outta ur skull sometimes it means you need to lower inflammation in your sinus.

-for my bra-wearing folks: racer-backed bras hurt the upper traps less and distribute weight better

-drink water my dudes. Ur body hates life w/o it

Space pasta puns

So like if fancy smart scientists decided that the theoretical process of what happens when you enter a black hole is “spaghettification,” I think we should brainstorm what the other pastas would be.

The black hole thing is because of the “infinite stretching and squashing” I believe. So like. How does one become lasagnaed? Fettucinied? Farfalled?

KnY/ Demon Slayer question (featuring spoilers!)

Hey so I’m curious, does anyone know if that familiarity Muzan spoke of was a legit feeling or if it was part of Ubuyashiki’s weird hypnotic voice thing? Or perhaps a third “we are a family” magic thing?

Also. Isn’t… wasn’t his wife helping with plans or something? I feel like that got spoiled for me by someone, but if she died in their residence then she couldn’t have… unless they just glossed over that bit? Idk. Also where is the boy child. The homeboy. The lil guy.

I am screaming a lot on the inside and a little on the outside

Opinion:

Ppl with loud cars n messed up mufflers aren’t cool like they think they are.

It’s like… if someone went around farting as loud as they could and laughing about it. Posing, even.

Never in my life have I met someone impressed with such noise. Just disdain.

Random stuff ppl moving to WA might wanna know (that I don’t hear ppl talk abt):

-if u live near a small river u will occasionally experience routine log-removal traffic

-Seattle gets visited by a pirate ship each year

-woods that are not connected to a park have a 70% chance of being overran by brambles

-the main natural disaster in western wa is trees. I am only kinda joking.

- school may close due to bear.

-most of our stuff isn’t built for extreme temps. Ice storms and heatwaves above like 105 tend to cause structural and travel issues.

-roadkill is kinda just an ever present background noise

-Umbrellas are used… but only for full-on storms. They’re kinda just a hassle when u only use them from the car to the building. So unless it’s gonna soak you in 30 seconds…

-people often either quite like or straight up hate Seattle

-Lots of trails, few sidewalks

-Historical references that ppl outside of WA might not know of: Oso, the Grand Coulee Dam, The Equator shipwreck, Marysville Pilchuck High School, the Denny regrade houses

In the silence of the night

The stars are all that fill our sight,

And with the buffet of the wind,

We rise to where the air is thinned.

The sky is bright,

A lonely sight,

Though gentle on your skin.

In the lake reflected back,

It’s better left alone,

But if not given time to heal,

The scars are set in stone.

The sun takes oh so long to rise,

When you’ve just watched it set,

You cannot wait for it to end,

But it’s not over yet.

You have to look harder sometimes,

When less of them appear-

But in the silence of the night,

The stars aren’t there to hear.

And though the sun may go away

For just a little while,

So many suns cut through the dark

Just to make you smile!

See stars are bigger than you think,

And that’s where you both have a link-

You can be strong,

Keep moving on,

Each moment’s just a blink.

You may not believe in ghosts but the ghosts believe in you and that is a threat
