Hey so I’m hyped that Trump’s gone and all but let’s just remember that things don’t magically get better from here on out - we have to keep working for them.

Keep supporting blm.

Keep protecting trans kids.

Keep welcoming immigrants. 

Keep defending marriage equality.

Keep believing women.

Keep working to make our society more fair, just, and accepting of all.

A quick summary of what’s happening in DC: Congress was supposed to certify the US Presidential Election today, but a pro-Trump mob protesting the results have forced their way into the Capitol building, and are attempting a coup. This is following weeks of Trump telling his supporters to not accept election results.

I’ve been following the PBS News Hour livefeed here, and NYTimes’ live chat analysis.

This looks an awful lot like the police letting Trump supporters through the barrier.

I’m not really sure what to say about this.

To the whistleblower who knew the consequences and still did it, thank you. That is bravery. To do right amongst it all. The laws were meant to be broken when the autonomy of someone’s body is not respected.

In case it has to be made clear, the people invading the Capitol are terrorists. Plain and simple. Media needs to stop calling them protesters. They’re not. They. Are. TERRORISTS.

At the RNC, there was just a pipe bomb found. It was detonated. I’m so fucking sick of this. Acting like this isn’t that bad. IT IS THAT BAD.

THIS IS REALLY REALLY BAD. THIS COULD AFFECT POTENTIALLY EVERYONE YOU WATCH.

THE GOVERNMENT IS CRACKING DOWN ON COPPA. THIS MEANS THAT EVERYTHING FROM ANIMATIONS TO GAMING TO TOY COLLECTORS TO ANYTHING WITH A COLORFUL THUMBNAIL COULD GET HIT BY THIS.
