Glad I'm Not The Only Asoiaf Tudor Fashion Hater

For a while now, I've been wanting to commission an artist to draw the two main characters from my novel I'm currently in the process of writing and I've finally found the perfect art style in the amazing work of @shripscapi

Being a fan artist myself, I felt like I've thought about these characters almost too much to draw them in an unbiased way, if that makes sense? Anyway, I'm in love with how they turned out and looking at this artistic version of these two people who have taken over such a huge part of my brain and time over the last couple of months is fantastic.

The Weeping Bride — Portrait of Emmeline Albrion by a well-known painter, 140 A.G.

The union of Lady Emmeline Albrion, heiress of Lion's Gate, and Lord Cerhir Beithir, Lord of Edina, sealed the long-awaited pact between their houses. This alliance was forged in the aftermath of their loyalty to King Alfons II during the war against his elder brother, King Philip I. Yet, despite the political triumph, the marriage was anything but happy. Lady Emmeline’s sorrow was evident, for in every portrait painted after her wedding, not once was she seen smiling.

hello!!! recently i’ve started reading asoiaf, in part bc i was so bewitched by your artwork! you’re really really talented! i love you depiction of the characters, i cannot imagine them any other way now.

currently I use an ipad pro and apple pencil with the procreate app! I hope that helps!

thank youuu I love to draw clothing. stems from my tragic backstory of being determined to stop drawing anime characters with their clothes suctioned to their bodies
