California UFO Sighting? A man claims he observed a burning UFO streaking across the night sky, crashing to Earth over southern California. As the UFO streaks across the sky, toward Earth, it releases a glowing orb-like object which shoots up into the sky.

The witness, said he noticed the fireball object passing across the sky while driving back home from work. He stopped to video what looked to him like a UFO crashing from space over southern California and releasing an “escape pod” One could, at first sight, dismiss the UFO as a meteorite, a man-made satellite or a rocket crashing from orbit. But as Open Minds’ Jason MacClellan notes, while it is not unusual to see smaller parts breaking away from the main body of a meteorite due to friction as it travels through the Earth’s atmosphere, it is unusual to see the smaller parts moving “straight up into the sky” as though under the influence of a propulsive force

Bright Galaxy Centaurus A

Centaurus A is the fifth brightest galaxy in the sky — making it an ideal target for amateur astronomers — and is famous for the dust lane across its middle and a giant jet blasting away from the supermassive black hole at its center. Cen A is an active galaxy about 12 million light years from Earth.

This image is part of a “quartet of galaxies” collaboration of professional and amateur astronomers that combines optical data from amateur telescopes with data from the archives of NASA missions. NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., manages the Chandra program for NASA’s Science Mission Directorate in Washington. The Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory in Cambridge, Mass., controls Chandra’s science and flight operations.

Hubble revisits tangled NGC 6240

Alien Caught on Tape in Australia.

This video was captured on February 23rd, 2007 at 1:30 a.m. by a young man and woman in Adelaide, South Australia. The two witnesses were at the Hallett Cove Conservation Park when they spotted a “large person like animal”. Nobody believed their strange tale, so they later returned to the area, this time with a camera and the hope that they would encounter the creature again. 

To both their luck and dismay, the creature was indeed still around, and the two were able to capture a quick shot of the alien being before they fled the area in terror.

It’s possible that this was simply a costumed friend, or possibly even a dummy. Personally, I find it a bit too convenient that the alien stuck around long enough for the witnesses to return with a camera. Overall, I’m not convinced this footage is real, but that’s just my opinion.

I’m interested to hear your thoughts on this. Do you think these two young adults captured footage of an actual extraterrestrial? Or is this simply just another hoax?
