also I learned about this project called “queering the map.” the idea is that in the past gay neighborhoods and gay spaces were very clearly defined bc it just wasn’t safe to be yourself anywhere else. as lgbt+ people become more visible and accepted many feel that we are losing our connection to those spaces

so every dot on this map is basically someone’s queer experience: coming out, meeting their future wife, seeing another gay man in public for the first time, anything you can think of that truly left a mark on them

Also I Learned About This Project Called “queering The Map.” The Idea Is That In The Past Gay Neighborhoods

it started in Montreal and is primarily English-language with most pins dropped in the US, Canada, and Europe, but there are people all over the world who’ve shared their experiences. it’s great to look at places near you but it’s also great to see that even people in places you thought were the middle of nowhere are happy with themselves and finding community and living their lives

so women are supposed to grin and bear the books, the comics, the movies, the plays, the tv shows, the stories, the sci-fi, the translated ancient poems, the fucking millennia of men writing about their self inserts torturing women and it being declared as High Art by other men, we’re supposed to read it in our free time, study it in classrooms, include their styles in our own writing, accept their cultural influence as natural, watch it in the cinema, write about it, talk about it, accept it, aspire it, but men can’t tolerate three seconds of female wish fulfilment of a woman snapping the wrist of a creep without feeling personally kicked in the balls.

So I found a site that does a subscription box for your period- it sends you basics like hygiene products, pain medication as well as snacks and pampering stuff to make you feel good,

but the best thing is they have a specialty boxes, like vegan or kosher only snacks but also

image

they specifically offer boxes for menstruating guys and nb folks.

which is pretty darn cool.

it’s called bonjourjolie and I think it’s 1000% awesome tbh

Please fund Rape-Axe, the not-so-new anti-rape device.

Rape-Axe was invented by Sonnet Ehlers/Bryant, a medical researcher from South Africa who has seen many victims of sexual assault throughout her career.

The device is inserted into the vagina like tampon. It has “razor-sharp” teeth that, if an attacker were to enter in the vagina, the device would then attach itself to the attacker. The rapist would “be almost fully incapacitated by the pain caused by the embedded barbs”. Even if the penis would grow flaccid, the barbs would still be attached.

Please Fund Rape-Axe, The Not-so-new Anti-rape Device.

The only way the barbs could be removed is by a clinician. Obviously at that point, the attacker would be identified as a predator and likely be arrested and convicted.

Unfortunately since its discovery, the Rape-Axe device has not been able to be on the market due to lack of funding. They have a GO FUND ME and accept PayPal on their website.

Please help get this device on the market and help victims of sexual assault and catch predators everywhere.

Gisella Perl Was Forced To Work As A Doctor In Auschwitz Concentration Camp During The Holocaust.

Gisella Perl was forced to work as a doctor in Auschwitz concentration camp during the holocaust.

She was ordered to report ever pregnant women do the physician Dr. Josef Mengele, who would then use the women for cruel experiments (e.g. vivisections) before killing them.

She saved hundreds of women by performing abortions on them before their pregnancy was discovered, without having access to basic medical supplies. She became known as the “Angel of Auschwitz”.

After being rescued from Bergen-Belsen concentration camp she tried to commit suicide, but survived, recovered and kept working as a gynecologist, delivering more than 3000 babies.

Far right extremists: This racist, violent shit I’m saying is just a joke!!! HAHAHAHAHA get over it!

People with a modicum of common sense:

Far Right Extremists: This Racist, Violent Shit I’m Saying Is Just A Joke!!! HAHAHAHAHA Get Over It!

Far right extremists: Seriously?! You’re such a fucking buzzkill, lighten up it’s just jokes, it doesn’t mean anything.

Far right extremists: pssst fellow Nazis and such, circle up. Ok guys, did you know you can effectively use jokes to spread our views?!? Generally, when using racial slurs, it should come across as half-joking—like a racist joke that everyone laughs at because it’s true…
