Дерек не прекращает шептать даже тогда, когда Стайлз отворачивается от него, но не от обиды вовсе, а чтобы скрыть слёзы. И он искренне благодарен Хейлу за то, что тот ничего не говорит по этому поводу. Оборотень согревает его ослабевшее тело, гладит живот и плечи, целуя в затылок, и делает так до тех пор, пока Стайлз, после долгих всхлипов, не засыпает.
