change my mind
Me: I’m strong and independent. I don’t need love to be happy!
Also me: If a tall, rich, and handsome man doesn’t walk across a field in the early morning mist to tell me that I have bewitched him body and soul soon I might have to do something drastic
all i do is sit and think about imaginary but extremely detailed romantic scenarios
Some of your favourite quotes? And also your biggest inspiration?
Hey sweet anon, thanks for sending in this question.
Not to sound cliché but my biggest inspirations are my parents. All their hardships, troubles and struggles really motivate the hell out of me. I think we can all agree on that.
Some of your favourite quotes are ~
· I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become. ― Carl Gustav Jung
· When Khaled Hosseini wrote “a man's heart is a wretched, wretched thing. It isn't like a mother's womb. It won't bleed. It won't stretch to make room for you.” I had to stop, put the book down and breathe because never had a sentence knocked the breath out of me like that did.
· “You can spend minutes, hours, days, weeks, or even months over-analyzing a situation; trying to put the pieces together, justifying what could’ve, would’ve happened… or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and move on.” —Tupac Shakur
· “Fairy tales are more than true: not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.” ― Neil Gaiman
my brain is just *blow out candle* *put finger in hot wax* *be happy about it*
All of the above..

quick psa cause some things need to be stated:
there’s a lot of misconception about the dark academia aesthetic right now (particularly from tiktok) and i just wanna say one thing.
the whole “dark academia” is quite literally what it is said to be. it’s not just dressing up in neutral and darker tones and chilling in a library. it actually roots in an appreciation for the arts and academia.
hogwarts ≠ dark academia lol
the aesthetic itself involves spending time reading classical literature and it stems from european culture and creating a new view of society. it is using mediums such as literature and art to enhance your own self and knowledge.
to me, it’s one of the more beautiful things, despite its bad undertones. it was created around a rich and elitist society that values the pursuit of knowledge.
if you truly want to get involved in the aesthetic, do research and separate the truth from the idolization. it can be quite harmful if you don’t know what you’re talking about.
all i’m saying is that while it is pretty to look at, a lot more goes into it than tweed coats and existentialism.

I don’t regret for a single moment having lived for pleasure. I did it to the full, as one should do everything that one does. There was no pleasure I did not experience.

kinda wanna be in a group of people where we meet up a lot and have a group chat and talk send messages like handwritten letters and coded sayings too and share our interests without being weird and be close and have sleepovers and cosplay and maybe live in a big area together and go camping and sneak out at night to read poetry and share our interests and i don't know it just seems neat
"Oh Captain, My Captain."
- waking up to cold mornings and condensation on your windows
- brewing a cup of hot coffee while reading a book
- wearing cozy sweaters and cardigans to stay warm
- draping your favorite long coat over your shoulders to create a mysterious silhouette
- stepping through heavy, packed snow as you walk to your morning class
- watching the glistening trees, pausing your podcast to admire them in their full glory
- combing your fingers through your hair to remove the falling snowflakes
- sipping hot chocolate in front of a roaring fire, turning the pages in your book leisurely
- stringing fairy lights to brighten up a dark room
- practicing your instrument in the evening, pretending to play at night - but the sun just sets early, but that’s not important
- relishing the long, dark hours to keep focused on your work
- listening to the quiet tones of claire de lune as you scribble through your essay

Most people with kintypes seem to talk exclusively or almost exclusively of visual memories. I barely have visual memories and more something like.. "concepts" in my head. Like i just know somehow has happened in my past life. Are this legit memories or are they just headcanons? Thanks in advance
I think most people talk about visual memories because they are the easiest to talk about. Humans are a very visual species. I don’t think that visual memories are the ones we experience most, just the ones we have the best language to talk about.
I think most kin memories are in the forms of those concepts you describe. Of smells and the memory of a touch. of little compulsions. of ‘that feels *right* to me.’.
Hey friend I saw your post about memories and I went and read through a bunch of other ones and?? How do you?? Get memories? Mine just come to me randomly or stuff it's really hard for me to get anything
ooh I’ve been ready for the day I got an ask about this!
Ok, so! Obviously, there’s general advice - going through the character’s canon in their media, looking at art or stories or videos or aesthetics made that relate to them, listening to music etc. etc. and mostly I say this because these have worked for me too, though it’s pretty random.
But what I do specifically, that works for me pretty much on command (though I can’t do it all the time), is what I call the memory walk! It’s not my method really, it’s structured off of this method here. However, I’ve found that as I do it, it’s more successful when I personalize the process in a way that works for me, and pay attention to what works for me!!
So I’d advise reading through the original process to start with, but I can also tell you about my experience with it if that might help!!
I am going to say, though, the most important thing to remember for this process is to listen to your instincts and pay attention to how it goes. if you can’t seem to get things to work, you may need to try something different. If you feel like you’re doing it right then you probably are, but if you feel like something’s not adding up then you may need to address whatever it is that feels off and try again.
Don’t try to overthink or force it, you’re more likely to block things off and get frustrated. Go with the flow and learn the cues your brain gives you so that you know when you’re doing the right thing.
