I would really recommend Perfectly Preventable Deaths by Deirdre Sullivan. It’s set in small town Ireland and the atmosphere super close and secretive. They live in a castle with secret passages- awesome! It’s hilarious and I love the characters and it’s a fast paced read as well, I tore through it.
do u know of any wlw witch story lines?? ty!!
There is a Goodreads list for Sapphic Witch Books! Personally, I can recommend
Kissing the Witch: Old Tales in New Skins by Emma Donoghue (Fairytales)
Labyrinth Lost (Brooklyn Brujas, #1) by Zoraida Córdova (Bruja bisexual main character)
The Witch Sea by Sarah Diemer (Another fairytale-ish story)
I haven’t read Spellbook of the Lost and Found by Moïra Fowley-Doyle yet, but I’ve heard really good things about it!
I’m also excited to read Toil & Trouble: 15 Tales of Women & Witchcraft edited by Tess Sharpe, which I’ve been told includes some F/F stories.
The Lost Coast by Amy Rose Capetta doesn’t come out until the Spring of 2019, and all I know about it is that the blurb promises queer witches in the woods, but that’s enough for me.

Felt like sharing this painting of mine
I took a picture of it and edited it more so it could be a little "better"
Dear Invisible Library fans, please tell me that this reminds you of that one scene in the beginning of The Burning Page
Lmao relatable.
i love how people who are into british aisles folklore vs. people who are into the modern edgy faerie movement sound like cat people vs. dog people like
me: *mentions faeries* someone reblogging my post: um even THINKING about faeries, ESPECIALLY IRISH FAERIES, is to flirt with a fate worse than death. your blood will drip form their sharp teeth. their sharp, sharp, pointy, sharp teeth. this isn’t tinker bell you’re dealing with. me: ….ANYWAY, this is my brounie his name is ferd and he unclogs my shower drain
Oh my gosh, I adore this. He’s super beautiful, thanks for the movie recs as well.
It took me nearly two weeks to figure out who I was picturing as Kai while I was reading. But when I tweeted at Genevieve and she mentioned Chow Yun Fat, that reminded me of Zhang Ziyi (who starred in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon with him) and a movie she starred that I sobbed to last night - House of Flying Daggers. This is a long way of saying I remembered this beautiful man who I was in love with back in 2005 and was who I've been picturing as Kai without even realizing.
Everyone please look at Takeshi Kaneshiro who, circa 1996-2007, is the perfect look for Kai:
Hello, my name is Reina Chaison, I am a student in the Philippines for Dentistry. And because of the pandemic, I am not able to continue to provide for myself in terms of tuition and barely on my basic needs. I am asking, with all of my heart and all that I am, for help. I know this is embarrasing but I will risk all the shame to be able to survive, I am practically an orphan because my mother had passsed away and I was abandoned by my father. I was able to get sponsorship in the Philippines to study and with a bit allowance. But unfortunately, my sponsor, Miss Elisia Wyatt had passed on because of the virus just last week and I have no idea what to do. I am alone in a country eaten up by the pandemic, where finding a job even temporarily is too high a hurdle, and I have been looking since the lockdown. So I am asking for help here, please with your good heart and spare dollar, please provide for my next food. I have no one to turn to. Thank you, please spread. Please help me.

My ugly daughter is fuuuucking delicious
Oh my god, me and my family do that so hard. We’re not from Somerset but still, I love that idea!
I've got two characters, Tessa and Evangeline, who are both from Somerset and whilst neither of them have particularly strong accents, I love the idea of when they are talking to each other, the accents just get stronger and stronger until its full blown
Yeah it’s just such a wild idea, Mel Gibson playing William Wallace like who on earth decided that that was what the world really needed? I’m Scotttish and I’ve not seen it except in clips and even that fills me with horror and giggles.
I truly dislike braveheart and wish it wasn’t one of the films everyone names as ‘fave scottish film’
I will note that it’s entertaining to have experienced the difference between watching it with English coworkers and Scottish coworkers. English coworkers took it very seriously as a symbol of Scottish emotions towards England etc. whilst Scottish coworkers watched it and laughed at almost every single bit of it because of the inaccuracies.
reblog if ur mom is smart and beautiful
You know what’s great- HALLOUMI! It is such a fantastic cheese, I genuinely get cravings for it. Yeah, I understand the French cheese love that you’ve got going on.
Irern: So what’s for dinner?
