Season 3 was also tragic because they altered Boomer's character into more of the serious/less dumb brother. Boomer and Brady played off one another excellently as equals. Boz and Boomer did not, seen by making Boz the 'outsider' comic relief while Boomer became the "mature" brother. Frankly, tragic!

friendly reminder that this beautiful bond was completely destroyed by season 3, which turned Brady into some kind of asshole who left his goddamn twin without even talking to him properly just because of some stuff Candace (not even Mikayla herself!) said.

and that’s why season 3 (and Boz) doesn’t exist for me. no one can replace Brady for Boomer, and definitely not some stranger who appeared out of nowhere and suddenly happened to be their long lost triplet.

Actually, with Brady Potter, it probably was less challenging to remember

Real talk: The triplets parents were evil in naming all the kids with the same letter. I know people accidentally forgot/swapped Boomer and Brady's names all the time. Imagine if Boz had been in Chicago too. Just trouble

Always Been My Own Personal Pair Of Kings Headcannon That Brady Is Trans. Doesn't Necessarily Fit With

Always been my own personal Pair of Kings headcannon that Brady is trans. Doesn't necessarily fit with the plot but... y'know, spices up Kinkow.

Makes the name calling of Lady Parker far hurtful.

Happy Belated 29th Birthday (1 Day Off) To These Two Goofy Gubers. I Can't Believe The Show Has Been

Happy belated 29th birthday (1 day off) to these two Goofy Gubers. I can't believe the show has been gone for this long.

The first episode is such a brilliant tv movie. The show was unfortunately on Disney XD, a far smaller platform. Disney had Good luck Charlie, Wizards of Waverly Place, Suite Life on Deck, and Ant farm at the time of it's airing. Too many powerhouse shows were ongoing at the time. XD only had Lab Rats and Zeke and Luther as popular live action shows. There was far less incentive to watch XD - let alone a new show! It's sad to know such a great show had so little chance for success.

Let’s talk about the fact that Pair Of Kings had everything to be a great series and yet it wasn’t?

I mean, it had magic, space for racial diversity (Kinkow is literally in the Southern Pacific, and the main characters are biracial) and cultural diversity/differences, politics, war, it’s a coming of age story, and the base for the characters is good.

It had everything to be awesome, yet most of the writing in it sucked; there was little to no planning, which resulted in lots of inconsistencies in the story line; most of the characters didn’t really get character arcs except for – specifically in season 3 and not that well done either – Boomer, Lanny, and Boz; the lore wasn’t properly developed (the lore is literally one of the most important parts in worldbuilding); not to mention that the show was downright misogynistic various times.

And it really hurts me that it was like that because it had so much potential, the character dynamics were great, the comedy was on point, the setting was amazing – how did Disney dare to waste it?
