I’m not worried about Gen Z, us millennials had the cinnamon challenge, and generations all throughout history have done stupid things, like:
Putting poisonous belladonna drops in eyes to make them look bigger (can easily cause blindness, and in rare cases death)
Radioactive makeup
Victorian detachable collars so tight they suffocated people
Certain styles of corsets that could damage organs
Skirts so wide women got stuck in doors
And a billion other things.
It’s not gen z or millennials, humans are just stupid.
vines that i haven’t seen in any compilations yet
part 2 | part 3 | animal vines
Extremely beautiful springtail, Lepidocyrtus paradoxus. Totally covered in iridescent scales - my photos do a poor job of capturing just how shiny this animal is.

While Darwin is often credited as the father of the Theory of Evolution, it’d be more precise to say that he was the father of the Theory of Evolution “by Natural Selection”.
Darwin’s genius was not in realizing that animals change over time, but in identifying the mechanisms by which these changes occur.
The idea that animals evolve over generations was proposed by a number of scientists and philosophers in various forms. And today, we will look at Al Jahiz, who proposed the idea some 1000 years before our English naturalist.
i almost cried when i saw this for the first time
