Thinking of La Grande Illusion again and thinking back of that scene where german soldiers have to search through the prisoners's belongings until one of them goes toward Boeldieu's side of the room and Rauffenstein being like "No, no that one!", I just love that scene!

Listen….. Do Not Start Me On That Scene. It is one of my favourite. A gift that keeps on giving. First off, It starts with Boëldieu being a sassy bitch™ :

i mean look at him, Rauffenstein just entered unnanounced and orders the soldiers to not touch his things and he doesnt give a single damn like Yes I Know Im The Fav Here lakhsflakhflkds: 

Then Rauffenstein enters the room and straight up goes to him and is like “pls tell me you dont have anything against the rules in here”. They stand there looking at each other, shifting to SOFT MODE in an instant as he rest of the room vanishes : 

and because Boëldieu is a clever smartass and put the rope on the window he is like “no im not lying :)” and pulls out a charming smile and Rauffenstein is a SMITTEN MAN:

But then Boëldieu wonders why he didnt ask the same thing to the other prisoners and Rauff is like “they arent nobles it doesnt count” and mister Von Stroheim decides its the right time to pull out THIS FACE:

like??????? the heart-eyes??? The softness??????? Is that allowed??? is that all o w ed?????

But,,,,, it doesnt stop there,,,,,, because Boëldieu says “their voice is as valuable as ours” and Pierre Fresnay chooses NOW to go IN with the eyes:

tanner est vraiment un cinéaste hyper intéressant, je sais pas...jtrouve que ses films offrent une proximité avec les spectateurs hyper intéressante...idée à creuser (jveux tout voir)

ça faisait littéralement des mois que je cherchais ce film (merci ok.ru tu sauves des vies)

LE TAUX DE RIZZ DANS LES VEINES DE CE MONSIEUR EST BIEN TROP ÉLEVÉ OMG (la scène où il met ses petites lunettes de soleil j'ai H U R L É , 'scuse nous la star).

par contre ce film c'est littéralement "lessgo on part en roue libre"

ce film est troooop bien, ambiance glauque, personnages un peu caricaturaux dans leur façon d'exécuter mais très chaotiques dans leur style. il est TROP BEAU avec son long costume noir épuré avec son ptit necklace 😩

j'adore ce perso et sur wikipedia ya qlqn qui a écrit un ptit truc sur cet acteur ⬇️ gros slay

description réaliste ma foie ! (faut voir d'autres films pour bien capter le bail)

par contre comment c'est possible d'avoir des oreilles aussi biscornues (c'est swag ça fait lutin tueur à gage).
