hey guys. it’s me. the cravat brush person.

here’s a link to all of my ace attorney-themed brushes, and this is what they look like (minus soggy spin which is just the soggy brush but more unpredictable)

-they are procreate brushes so the files may not export to other programs (in which case you’ll have to look up how to make custom brushes and recreate these yourself, but at that point you could just make Any kind of custom brush lol)

-i’m not going to tell you what you can and can’t do with the brushes but I personally only use these for lines/doodles. the soggy brush was created with the intent to be used for blocking in colors but you can see that it makes a neat substitute for like. a chalk brush texture when it’s really small

-pollo and cravat are great for textured rendering (the phoenix brush probably is too bc it’s like a marker but I haven’t used it for that yet)

-feel free to edit the settings for the brushes :) have fun!

This may sound mean, but...

If you send me an ask containing links to Good Omens fan fiction you think I should read, I'll delete it. Do it again and I'll (regretfully) block you. So I have thrown myself into a huge project, which is to make a plaid for my mother

This is the finished plaid from the creator and all the squares, half squares and quarter squares I have to do.

I've done all that so far, which corresponds to the four corners, all the big borders, half of the small borders and one baby square.

I'm doing it using yarn my mother wanted, which is a mix of cotton and merinos wool. There's 10 colours total but I'm not using the same as what is shown in the pattern.

As we begin the month of October and many of the prompt fest such as Inktober, Kinktober, Whumptober, Flufftober, Podfic Fest, and all the others that will bring new content, a friendly hint:

Reposting artwork, fic, podfics, whatever without permission or credit is stealing. It’s also just a shitty thing to do at all times but especially right now in today’s climate with AI. I know it’s sad to lose content you get comfort from but this is not the answer. All it’s going to do is drive creators away.

We share our creations with love. Please don’t be an entitled asshole in return.

The link is real, for anyone wondering, I checked the email again. However, I don't create much art and don't sell anything on redbubble so I just went and deleted my account (since, again, I'm overall not using it) and stated what I didn't in the update as the reason.

And seriously I am in tears at that like wow. Basically, if you make enough money for Redbubble, the fee is removed. Basic tiers have to pay a fee, but premium and pro don't.

There's also the "opportunity to create licensed fan art" that bugs me because, there already was a list of things you could make fan art of depending on the list they have, but now you can't unless you have a premium or pro account? While (from what I've seen at least) most small artists make fan art and sell it because they know that there is a fanbase for it and that it will sell.

I do understand the copyright problem they face, sure. But the rest still is... not good.

So yeah, increased costs that they will make the small artists pay for and subsequently make people think twice before coming on the plateform, or just leave it.
