cards: her cards are made by predictions that come true, and manifest as something symbolic of the event (jester for a stupid scenario, etc). the queen of sparrows is a rare card that symbolizes a corrupt leader taking power. (Leshy or P03, take your pick)

scale: as you would expect, but teeth are reskinned as marbles.

book: rulebook, still as you would expect.

meter to the right of the board: tension. each card can be played for free, but will add x amount of tension to the board's meter. if the total tension of all cards exceeds the max of the meter (4), all of your cards take the excess damage upon bell ring. example: you play two four tension cards, because the first four completely fill the meter you are four over. upon bell ring, all cards will take the four excess damage individually.

floating diamond: your lives. you have eight but must use them both for survival and as currency. marbles only get you so far. this one has a singular space greyed out, as it was used to purchase something.

bringing this back because @sasaleleselfships suggested "sometimes" by nick lutsko for Leshy and honestly that fits perfect. Leshy is definitely the kind of person to think "well I've got only bad options, so let's at least do it right.", and the large amount of dark metaphors and symbolism would strike his fancy for sure. I think he would sing it to the challenger while trying his hardest to veil it as part of the story. trying his hardest to explain his motives without having to be perfectly honest.

Grimora: Savages by Marina and the diamonds

-song about how humanity will often struggle to do the right thing, and that the easy route is constantly chosen even when it's wrong. perfect song for grimora to sing before deciding that deletion is the better option.

Magnificus: We Don't Have To Die by Sarah Barrios

-song about fearing death, even as you realize it's preordained. I imagine this song playing over the whole of mag's life from trapping the students to being deleted. the softer bit at the end would be mag's afterlife where they get to run a campaign with the other scrybes after so long being the only one without a takeover.

Leshy: ...how do you even BEGIN to describe this guy? Like he is more cryptic then the beasts he captures and you get like 2 minutes of him being honest and then he dies. no song, let me know what you guys think of.

-"they hurt me and they hate me so let's get drastic" is basically the most P03 thing out there. though this song wouldn't be sung when anybody is around, it would definitely play in the background of P03 screaming and going apesh*t.

okay I would absolutely fucking LOVE to see Leshy meet Leshy prime in this. like imagine cruel but human Leshy meeting "no Lore, just respect the rules and the woods" forest cryptid Leshy. Imagine this cryptic beast learning a digital duplicate of themselves was made that actively outperformed them.

Connecting “Sacrifices Must Be Made” and “Inscryption” (for fun)

I mentioned before that I still really enjoy the original “Sacrifices Must Be Made” as a short story, and it seems at least a few other people do too.

I’ve seen some attempts here and there about how that game’s story could be connected to “Inscryption”, and I kinda wanted to do my own take, just for fun.

Important Note: I think both “Sacrifices Must Be Made” and “Inscryption” stand perfectly fine on their own, there is no need for them to be connected.

This is just a fun little “but what if I HAD to make them connected somehow” idea, that’s all.
