God I Don't Know How I Didn't Think Of This Before Today But Damn If This Isn't Fun

    It was an accepted fact, Mitch and Kira decided, that despite how much Nova annoyed the two, the unkillable man that very much wanted to die was still fascinating. The reapers have seen many anomalies over the centuries; souls deeply attached to a particular life, souls that reformed whilst still in a human's body, but never have they seen something like Nova. There have been many theories as to what is going on, or how it ever came to be. Kira sticks with the simple explanation that the man just doesn’t have a soul. Mitch, however, thinks otherwise.

As the head reaper, Mitch has seen humans without souls: they’re hollow. Husks that clearly show they do not harbor anything. Depending on the person, these people whom the reapers call Hollows, their threat level varies, as well as the difficulty to kill them. Thankfully, now that Life has the sowers, hollows aren’t as frequent of an occurrence. Nova, from experience, does indeed have something inside of him, but it’s not a soul, at least, not one Mitch has ever seen. No soul has ever so blatantly refused to let it’s host die.

Homestuck Collide: Heir of Grief

So I've been listening to the Homestuck Albums on Bandicamp lately and in the Collide Album's Heir if Grief I'm suprised no one has pointed out the way the songs instruments are mixed together

Let me explain: if you go to TV Tropes and look at Homestuck's Fridge somewhere you'll find a bit talking about how the Homestuck Anthem has references to all the Beta Kid's musical talents. Quote:

"The Homestuck Anthem features John, Rose and Jade's instruments, in that order. So where's Dave? Playing the rest of the song from the start. He is a time traveling DJ, after all."

What does this have to do with Heir of Greif? Everything. Let's look at it piece by piece.

It begins with a small guitar fading in whom I believe is Dave (funny how he has the first actual dialogue)

Then comes in the beat and a second guitar. This is also Dave, but not the same one. They're other Dave's joining in.

The beat and guitar increase and i feel that symbolizes when everything in Homestuck really kicked off (John entering).

We then hear a solo piano, John, playing as we glimpse at the Beta Kid's journies simplified to their appearance and homes. Dave's tempo is still present, though softer.

John's piano is then joined by Rose's violin in a beautiful mix as Dave's tempo increases, leading into the emotional guitar and drum solo from Dave (gonna call it Dave solo). John's piano chimes in around the end (I think as comfort), then another Dave solo.

Next is the second piano solo, though Dave's tempo is louder this time.

Here's the part that threw me so hard. For a long time I couldn't figure out where Jade fit into all this. Then it hit me. The flute. While it was a tiny section and seemed really random, Jade has indeed played a flute before.

So we have John Jade and Dave playing together (makes me think about while Dave and Jade are extremely important due to their aspects, John is our main protagonist and is the only one who (because he's a derp) could zap himself into any part of the comic and fix Game Over).

Another Dave solo before it's just the flute and guitar, though as it progresses the beat is very present.

And finally Dave brings it home with some of the best guitar and drums his heart can play. Then it is slowly drowned out by a strange sound and at the very end I get a feeling of suddenly waking up.

And that's my really awkward disection of my favorite Collide track. Let me know if you enjoyed it or if there's anything you'd like to add.

Someone asked for this And i enjoyed making it Because even the best of platformers get sick of the parkour sometimes

Again, to add to the idea that not all queer people are safe to be around, I used to have a trans friend who was toxic as hell

She constantly played victim and wanted the center of attention (and pity) on her and was kind of a narcissist.... i didn't learn of this until i was living with her in my parents house cos they offered to let her stay for a month or two to get on her feet

She stayed... for over half a year

She acted like i did in highschool; not wanting to do things and making poor excuses for "not being able to" and my mom basically had to do everything for her

She was like 7 years older than me!!!

We never once misgendered her, we are very accepting people (i myself am in the LGBT as a panromantic demisexual who at points in my life thought i was bi, gay, and ace, and not once did my mom think badly of me, pleasantly surprising me every time)

She at points tried to make me feel as if i didn't even know my boyfriend (now fiance) as well as she did and she'd never even met him

The breaking point for me was when she made my mom cry one day because she didn't feel womanly enough because the wig she had (that my mom lent to her btw) wasn't working for her and blamed the reason she couldn't get a new one on my mother

She couldn't even fathom why telling a 3-4 year old about gay stuff before her parents had was a bad thing to do (even worse was that it was our family friends daughter)

We were constantly walking on eggshells in our own house and i still feel guilty about those 6-7 months because if I wasn't friends with and told my parents about her situation, then maybe it wouldn't have happened

Concrete, 100% effective way to tell if someone doesn’t belong in a LGBT+/queer space:

They openly and actively hate/ want to hurt the people in that space

Curiosity

    Everything was so new to her. She had the basic understanding of what things were , but Nexus had yet to truly experience them. Her body and mind were so foreign, even her own gender was a vague concept to her. Her body clacked and creaked with every movement, unlike the scientist who made her. The woman in the white coat was so different compared to herself. She had this soft coating around her she called skin. Her face didn’t harbor the same strange lines Nexus’ did. Everything about the woman filled the doll’s head with questions.

    Why am I so different from her…?

Hey guys! Just wanted to update everyone.

I still need to work on my comic (as always) and need to draw more in general. So first things first is to get used to my new art program Krita!

The best was to do that is to try out techniques for drawing and coloring. What I like to do is find colorless images of things I like and practice coloring with them. Tonight I finished our sweet baby Karkitty!
