I just found your page, but I am loving what I am seeing I won't lie. Also playing through the Legendary Collection.
Let's be real, Borderlands 3 was a total botched job with none of the writers from 2, or Pre-Sequel carrying over and failure to follow up on everything they was building up too. The total lack of Athena, as well as Aurelia is just some of the many problems with it.
That said, I do love the irony of New Tales showing Athena to be the head of some major company on the same level of Atlas, Maliwan, and Jakobs lines up just with your art. The same for Athena helped with Jack rise to power later takes control of Hyperion alongside her wife.
I do like the idea of Theia being a planet of constant earthquakes and just like the idea of landmasses and mountains at random. I can see a lot of wildlife having armor-like skin and super shape claws and talons to move through rock and soil. The same for like big bears like monsters and big cats like caracals, Maybe also giant redwood trees that helps keep the ground together with roots that everywhere.
Theia's nice parts look like Northern California, the rest between Death Valley, Mustafar, and the Rockies.
Yeah, that and just how hated and loathed the company has become, they're got a big bunker/fortress mindset going on. Almost Dwarf like.
XXX
Selene: Maybe it one big supply ship/smaller space station, always in Helios stations shadow or something like that.
Eos: A giant manufacturing sea ship sounds like a lot of fun and something a little more old school in the Sci-Fi setting.
XXX
I do like the idea of Athena's real name and the fact the forsaken it, but I respect wanting to cut herself off from her painful past. The people who both know her real name and are still alive can be counted on one hand. (With Janey it was one of the big movements of their early relationship.)
Also her surname of Hoplite is a nice if on the nose. (Something Janey loves making jokes about.)
I do like how Athena's belief in redemption being the biggest driving force of taking over, while Janey has a field day.
The Voice of Hyperion: This goes with below, but maybe she was recover from the wreck of Helios and traded hands a few times before reaching Theia. She becomes Athena and Janey biggest backer in secret before showing herself. (Think Tales Loader Bot becoming the Masked Kidnapper to learn what happened. Or even Angel in 1 and 2. ) She has no want to rule Hyperion, but wants Athena to do it because she so good at killing her enemies.
I also love the idea of AI!Jack comeback and acting as this devil on Athena's shoulder before she puts him in a gun and shots him to the nearest planet. Kinda reminds me of Wiping the Slate, which Jack has you get the head of the Meriff statue and sending it to Pandora on a rocket.
I would add in say Aurelia Hammerlock, also done wrong by 3, and poor Timothy Lawrence. Maybe even Gaige, still on the run from the Holloway family and not used great by Gearbox. (Another OC is a Truxican gunslinger.)
XXX
Janey as a Eternal makes a lot of sense, born and raised on Elpis, lived through the Crackening. Yeah, her being one makes sense and would be fun to see.
XXX
Hmm...
Athena's team still being alive (Maybe they ditch and the BL1 Vault Hunters killed their seconds in commands.) and kidnapping Athena and blowing up her and Janey home is pretty dramatic. Even going as far to cut her ring finger off is super sad. (Athena caring far more about the ring than how a missing finger would affect her fighting). Using that, in my mind, they both wanting the old Athena back, and being paid by one of the Hyperion factions to bring her in to use. Maybe the Watcher, maybe the Voice of Hyperion gives Janey the lead to chase after them, events lead them to both crash on Theia.
The reformed Hyperion is under attack, by both Old Hyperion/Jack Loyalists and a group of smaller corporations hoping to bring down and take over the Titan. Athena, Janey and their allies all in the middle of it all (Backed by the Voice/secret backer.), and have no choice, but to play a role in the battle that leads them taking over Hyperion and finishing the Battle of Theia. All of it is a lead up to the War the Watcher warned about.
I will say I like the idea of Janey having such extreme attachment issues after what she been through and now suddenly her life with Athena is stolen away would lead her being very vicious. Beware the nice ones indeed and in this case a furious gay Aussie. Heck, I like the idea of her hating anything that looks like a kraggon. I hate kraggons as much as I hate fighting skags.
I just would love to explore this idea more and I love Athnea/Janey a lot myself.
I really love your art and I especially love the Borderlands stuff. In particular the Hyperion Rebirth AU. I would love to see more or even just explore the idea. Like just how Athena took over, how she did it with Janey and Fiona, they're relationship, Janey's hand, their status in the Borderlands and much more.
If your open to it I do have certain ideas for it.
Like Hyperion falling into what amounts to a civil war with Jack's death, how badly he ran it, and all the money and resources he sunk into Pandora on top of Helios crashing Planetside. Athena and Janey are dragged into one side and Fiona by a another on the company planet of Theia. (The wife of Hyperion and Goddess of sight and brilliance along with gold, silver and gems with their brilliance and value). All three meet once again and start to work together to win control over Hyperion themselves.
oh my god hi!!!! tysm for the ask i never expected anyone to ask me about this old au <3
side note btw that i apparently decided to exclude Fiona from this au đ„Č sheâll likely have an appearance other places but wonât have any direct connections to Hyperion
under the cut is a very unorganized set of pictures + explanations of what i had in mind for Hyperionâs Rebirth:
â-â-â
to start, i just want to mention how this au came to be.
it was mostly fun and games tbh, where i was in an era between playing BL3 and BLTPS constantly. although i never used them, i found it ironic that in BL3, the Hyperion weapons had shields extremely similar to Athenaâs shield.
since i was SUPER disappointed that Athena didnât even at least have a mention in an ECHO, and i was SUPER deprived of content of her, i decided to make a FUN, NON-CANON ALTHOUGH HEAVILY LORE-BASED, COMPLETELY SELF-INDULGENT AU where Athena had taken over Hyperion just bc she wanted to đ starting this project in 2021, i would work on this on and off for my own enjoyment
flashforward only one year laterâ
âŠâŠâŠ..hashtag goals đ€đŒ. never worked on it for a while even before ntftbl was announced unfortunately đ
you were very spot on with the concept of Hyperion being on the planet Theia, i was super confused seeing it bc i never remembered sharing anything about this đđ
i wanted Hyperion to be SUPER heavily reinforced, because of how widely loathed the company is, its history, and because of the overall environment of Theia. every few hours, the surface shifts from entire slabs of the floor, taken from the idea of plate tectonics.
i was also gonna work on the unique fauna, just like how Pandora has skags and Eden-6 has jabbers !! i had only given it caracals since theyâre my favorite animal :,3
blands LOVES their greek myth motifs so i wanted to apply that here also
a common trend with the corporations was that each tend to have some kind of second base. i used Selene and Eos, since they were also the children of Theia and Hyperion (Helios isnât present since it crashed obv).
i never had any ideas for Selene, but an idea i had for EOS was that it was an underwater ship.
THIS I WANT TO TALK ABOUT THE MOST!!!
a very specific headcanon i have for Athena is that it isnât her real name. she was very young at the time she was taken into Atlas, where they had actually given the assassins different names. her real name is Gayle Alvarez, to which she rejects as symbolism to how sheâs letting go over her past after all these years, accepting who she is now. (she gave herself that last name âHopliteâ tho LMAO)
^^ this all comes from that fact that i was VERY petty over the fact that her sister, Jess, shouldâve been named Minerva. it makes more sense to me idk
ANYWAYS this just describes Athena and Janeyâs positions in Hyperion just a little bit. Athena is obviously the CEO and Janey has taken position to where she had designed almost everything.
in terms of the third point, i had actually wanted to make the Voice of Hyperion to be a prominent character in here also!! i didnât get too far with her unfortunately đ
FUN FACT i was actually also gonna bring HoloJack as a character concept, although heâs just stuck in an ECHO device. i was thinking that in order to run Hyperion, Athena would need the advice of an ex-CEO. they both only agree to an exchange of management tips for a new body. Athena obviously flanks out after getting Hyperion into a suitable condition, then stuffing the ai into a submachine gun and launching it towards the furthest planet đ€ it was a funny concept but i dropped it after a while
â
on to something more specific, i do wanna mention this art piece, which ties into another one of my headcanons.
Janey was born on Elpis, being present before and after the Crackening. as it occurred, she had been exposed to whatever unstable eridium had managed to leak through, all without her knowledgeâshe barely remembers anything of the sort happening
TO SUMMARIZE, Janey is like the Lost Legion Eternals, specifically, a Phasewalker!!!! from the game, the LLEs only ascend once reaching a near-death situation, which explains why Janey never figured it out. the closest she did was when she and her ex gf were mauled by Flamey, where her Phasewalking activated and she managed to get away.
there is no story, sorry. đđ€
the closest i have are unofficial concepts, since i had literally almost zero experience and knowledge in world building.
the main idea i had focused on was something to do with Athenaâs old Atlas squad, the Omega Assassins. from some, currently undecided decision, Vulcana, Hera, Minerva, Ceresia, and Helicon found themselves alive, even after supposed elimination from the BL1 Vault Hunters. despite her betrayal, they wanted Athena back, and would do anything to prevent her from settling away.
ALSO, another idea was that after the Omega Assassins found out that Athena was married/engaged, they had cut off her ring finger. this explains why i drew her wearing her rings on a chain near her chest.
below is an extra character development attempt which i had named âscene where janey plays the guitarâ
this takes place moments after the assassins kidnap Athena and destroy their home for, again, some undecided reason đ i wanted to study Janeyâs devotion towards a happy life, since i would also think of her having extreme attachment issues. sheâs typically the optimistic character that sees the good through any situation, so i wanted to try to see how she would face against her everything being taken away from her again.
i also gave Janey a resentment of anything that resembles a kraggon, no matter how friendlyâđŒ
â-â-â
i wish i had worked on this au so much more than what i shared. i was extremely passionate about it and i kinda still am!! even with how half-assed most of the lore is with blands, i still absolutely DEVOUR any little bit of canon Athena content available.
a COMPLETE story of Hyperionâs Rebirth is unfortunately unlikely now, especially with how itâs heavily implied to be. CANON now đ°đ°. i would love to work on it again, but i just donât really see a reason to đ
tysmm for the ask again, i appreciate it a lot!! i rambled a bit too much but i wouldnât mind talking much more about the little ideas i have ^_^ đ
Oh I donât have the skills, or resources to do it myself.Â
The idea came from your post about Blazamy, of how the two can just talk to each other, and having better communication between Amy and Blaze. (Compared to as you said â it's like a whole song and dance and a few near death experiences to get Sonic and Shadow to talk about their thoughts and feelings, that's just how they are written.)
My idea is âwhat happens when you give a good reason for trouble between the pair?â and cue Blaze not wanting to get close less she cause harm to Amy, still loving her dearly for a second time, and Amy wanting to know the truth, no matter how painful it could be for both of them.Â
I love all the ships, Amy/Sonic, Amy/Shadow, and yes, Amy/Blaze and you done a wonderful job with them all, especially the Amy Rose, Agent of GUN and Team Dark comic you are doing right now. If you find the time, Iâm sure you could have fun with it.Â
Random idea: Blaze and Amy was in a relationship before Amy's death in a slightly different Sonic 2006 timeline. Cue the reboot, Blaze is one of the few who remembers, but is afraid she would cause Amy's second death while wanting to love her again if she gets too close and Amy just wondering who Blaze is and why she seems so familiar... what could go wrong?
Interesting idea. Maybe you should write more about itđ
The Ancients knew how to build and for it to last. Unlike the modern age...
Temple of Zeus Lepsinos
Euromos, Turkey
2nd century CE
The temple was built on the site of an earlier Carian temple during the reign of the emperor Hadrian. It is one of the best preserved classical temples in Turkey: sixteen columns remain standing and most of the columns are inscribed in honour of the citizen who commissioned their construction.
What you and the-foxy-fam-and-friends is very, very good indeed. It definitely and interesting route to the Greek Gods, and how they story would go.
Aphrodite side quest ending with her wanting to honor both Hephestus and Pandora is very good.Â
The side quest with Dionysus is fun, more so him calling Kratos brother and having a purpose after so long. Him and Kratos bounding would be pretty to see, even Kratos feel terrible for Dionysus  over losing Ariadne and is later hopeful the two can reunite.Â
Hestia and Demeter: It is just plain tragic and does bare parallels with  Ragnarök with Freya out to get Kratos for Baldurâs death before becoming an ally. More so Kratos spares Demeter to put the Ghost of Sparta behind him.Â
The thing I love is them forming the basis of Rome. Kratos  mentioned to have fought in the Trojan War (He liked the poem better.) so the remaining Greek Gods founding what is then just a village on the Tiber of Future Rome is a fascinating twist. It does really bring the orignal trilogy to a proper end, and one that isnât just bloodshed and bring to rest a lot of Kratosâ old ghost.Â
On something a little closer to home, in Mythology, Anubis had a brother name Wepwawet, a wolf-headed god that name meant âOpener of the Waysâ with inscriptions from the Sinai states that Wepwawet "opens the way" to king Sekhemkhet's victory. So some see him as a sorta scout. Likewise, Wepwawet was said to accompany the pharaoh on hunts, in which capacity he was titled (one with) sharp arrow more powerful than the gods alone.
Later on, Wepwawet was also seen as one who opened the ways to, and through, Duat, for the spirits of the dead.Â
So...one would give Atreus his own older half-brother from his motherâs previous marriage with Set, with similar, but different powers (Think an Scout/Ranger),  and Kratos flashbacks to what happened with Deimos.Â
To add to that God of War in Egypt with the remaining Greek Gods also there; how about Aphrodite is in grieving and misses Hephestus and Pandora. Sort of a 'you dont know how good you had it until its gone' deal. She took her lavish life for granted and now that she is all alone, she finds herself reminiscing of her disabled husband and his child. So Atreus and Kratos find some items (a bracelet and a cane) that used to belong to them and hand them over to the former goddess of passion as she takes their words to be a better person for their memory.
Kratos: Hephestus died protecting the one thing he cherished more than you, his child. All his life he was rejected by his family and sought your favor as you had love for everyone. In the end, he believed that he was better off loving and protecting his daughter then seeking love from you.
Aphrodite: I, thank you for your truthful words, Spartan. I know that I cannot change what is already done, and i am to blame for being such a horrible mother and wife. Ares had his charm, but I was too blind to see he only valued me for pleasure. (GoW Ares is one track, unlike your take)
Atreus: Dont be sorry miss, be better. Yes we all made mistakes, some larger than others, but they wouldnt want you to waste away in grief. Try to live and honor their memories by being a better god than what you were before. Everyone deserves a chance to change, dont throw yours away.
Aphrodite: I can see your father clearly in your, and your mother. I shall try and move on, for their sake. Thank you, both of you.
With her sidequest done, Aphrodite vanished and is never heard from again as she strives to remake herself to honor her deceased family.
I had a similar idea, but it was for all the Greeks.
For Aphrodite it's a lot like what you mentioned, but the other ones would have quests as well.
Dionysus: It's helping him find Ariadne, whom he was certain died in the destruction of Olympus. After a few side missions where Kratos and Dionysus bond, you find out she's hiding out in Italy. Dionysus thanks you, calls Kratos brother, and rushes of to find his beloved, moving with purpose for the first time in centuries.
Artemis and Apollo: They didn't particularly care about Olympus and their father, they're more trying to keep Aunt Demeter alive than anything else. Once you end Demeter's quest, Artemis and Apollo lose the energy to hunt you, and go back to wandering the world.
Hestia and Demeter: Their fates are intertwined. Hestia and Demeter are the last of the children of Kronos left, and Hestia just wants to keep her sister alive. But Demeter is so mad with grief at the loss of her daughter that she cannot see anything else. Demeter's quest is part of the Main Quest, and Kratos, who is tired of being the Ghost of Sparta, spares Demeter's life. Demeter can't even respond, she's too broken by grief, and Hestia quietly spirits her away.
At the end of the game, there's a short epilogue, where we see the remaining Greek Gods have come together in a small little village in Italy, built on the banks of the Tiber River, called Rome.
A sad, but true part of America that must be told, and must be known.Â
reblog until someone gives a damn
I feel for Set getting dragged into that little Greek family mess with his own problems. On the upside, Apollo is likely the one who helped Set find his old wife in the first place.
On an more serious note, I can easily see Anput being the Angrboda counterpart, as in Egyptian Mythology, she shared a lot of Anubis functions and was his wife. She could be would be the main one trying actively guiding Atreus. (Compared to Nephthys who wants to do the same, but more focus on keeping her son safe, and Kratos who is not happy with any of this, and wanting to avoid the whole war, which his wife would agree at the start, and focus on his own family.)
I kind of wish that the God of War sequel series had taken place in Egypt instead of Midgard. Aside from just loving Egyptian Mythology and it being severely underrated, I really think it could have worked thematically with God of War.
Let me explain.
So, the most famous myth in Egyptian Mythology, and arguably the most important, is the succession crisis between Horus and Set. Basically, Horus is the son of Osiris, the previous King of the Gods, whom Set, Osirisâ brother, murdered and took the throne for his own.
But, itâs not so cut and dry. See, the original King of the Gods was Ra, the creator deity, who was forced out by Isis, mother of Horus and wife of Osiris, and then forced him to name Osiris his heir. Set was Raâs greatest general and oathsworn warrior, and by all rights should have been king after Ra stepped down. So Horusâ claim isnât as ironclad as it appears.
So, why does this work?
Because itâs a legitimate divine WAR. A war where no one is clearly in the right or wrong, and both sides have to stand on the strength of their morals, rather than being ruled by a generic fantasy Evil King you need to rebel against.
So, picture this for the God of War sequel series:
Kratos makes his way to Egypt after the fiasco in Greece, and there he meets Nephthys, the sister of Isis and a Goddess of Night, the Dead, and Air. Nephthys is in hiding as she doesnât want to get involved in the war between her family. She knows who Kratos is, heâs got a reputation, and hides her identity as a Goddess, tending to his wounds. They end up falling in love and having a child together, whom they name Atreus. But Nephthys gives him a different name in secret.
She names him Anubis.
When Atreus is young, the family is thrown into the Succession War when Nephthysâ identity is revealed. This obviously pisses of Kratos because heâs still in his âhates all the Godsâ thing and thinks Nephthys used him. But he still loves her, and despite the tension the three of them try to keep themselves together and try to stay alive in the midst of this divine war.
They donât really like either side of the war, and both occupy a somewhat villainous position in the beginning. Horus is an arrogant jerk and Set is a brutal warrior. Both are meant to be a parallel to Kratos as well, Set having a similar backstory and warrior mindset and Horus emodying the brutal hateful anger at everything that made Kratos destroy the Olympian pantheon.
Basically, Atreus/Anubis in these games would be Kratosâ opposite. Heâs gentle and weak where Kratos is brutal and powerful. Atreusâ unique ability is to communicate with the dead, drawing power from them and laying their spirits to rest. Itâs this power that makes him indispensable to the war, as he gains the ability to do the same with dead Gods as well, including Osiris.
Ultimately, itâs revealed that Apophis, the Chaos Serpent, has been manipulating both sides this whole time in an effort to throw the world into chaos. Isis finally relents her mbition, Horus unbend his pride, and Set stops fighting.
They end up putting Ra back on the Throne for the coming conflict with Apophis, and the gods recognize Atreus as Anubis, one of their pantheon. Kratos is forced to learn to trust Gods and realize that Ra is not the tyrant Zeus was. He forgives Nephthys for her deception and accepts his son as a God, and they work together against Apophis.
I dunno. I just think it could work.
You done screw up.Â
Now this set up is very, very good as always.
The Princess of Poseidon is a good choice as some do said there should have been something for her in Valhalla and Old Kratos using her as doorstop.
Hera is curious, but makes sense he killed her just because she bad mouth Pandora when she was no danger to him.
Hercules, in Valhalla says he has no regret in killing him, saying Hercules wanted to be the God of War for all the wrong reasons, and not the right one. But I can also say Kratos at that point of time was willing to let Hercules live if he would step aside.
Hephaestus I can see from his downfall from grace, his savage beating from his father, failure to save Pandora, and Kratos respect towards Hephaestus doing what any father would do, protect their child.
Ares definitely needed to be in Valhalla and Kratos fighting Mars and the battle ending in a draw is pretty the same for Mars taking up both the legacy of Ares and Kratos as a God who fights to bring peace and who loves his people and followers. (Mars the Father and Mars the Avenger.)
I would also give a shot-out to Orkos, who was Kratos' last true friend for the longest time, being forced to kill him to free both from Ares.
It also would be great to see Atreus in his Anubis persona and the Guardian of the Dead.
Long time I know. I first offer a Merry Christmas for you and my family. But the Valhalla DLC for Ragnarök just dropped (Super wonderful), and I been thinking about how the old God of War in Egypt ideas would work with it. In Egyptian Mythology you have the 42 Negative Confessions and it 42 Judges of Maat. It's not about perfection, but to keep trying to outweight your bad deeds with good ones, to bring more balance than chaos to the world.
Alright so, in the God of War in Egypt AU, we've gotta trim the 42 down a bit, so we're grouping it into six groups of seven. Each group of seven represent a level to clear, with the final one at the end.
So the story is, after the final boss of the second game, Apophis, Osiris invites Kratos to the Underworld for "a great matter", and tells him someone wants to talk to him. Basically, Kratos has to traverse the 42 Confessors/Judges of Ma'at with Nephthys, facing one of his sins as a boss at the end of each level.
The 42, again, in groups of seven, you're not facing all of them at once, act as witnesses, watching him go through it, and talking to him at the end of it.
The bosses are all from the previous God of War games, particularly the ones Kratos feels kinda bad about.
Also, you get the Blade of Olympus at the beginning of the DLC, and it gains power with every boss you defeat.
First boss is Helios, good solid start to the story.
Second is the Princess of Posiedon, who sort of uses Posiedon's powers from GoW3. This ends with Kratos apologizing to her and her soul finding rest.
Third is Hera, who points out he could have shown her mercy but chose not to.
Fourth is Hercules, this one is lighter than the others, since Herc isn't really salty about losing, and Hercules passes on on good terms.
Fifth is Hephaestus, who is angry at the world more than Kratos himself.
The Sixth boss is Ares himself. the man who started it all. This is a knock down drag out fight... and it leads you into the REAL final boss.
See, once you've defeated Ares, you're led into the Heart Weighing Chamber where Anubis has begun his tenure as Guardian of the Dead, and under your son's gaze you fight the real Final Boss of the Ma'at DLC.
The final boss is Mars, the Roman God of War, the inheritor of both Kratos and Ares' legends. A more grim and noble God of War.
The fight ends in a draw, and Mars leaves, having put the ghosts of old to rest and returns to the fledgling Rome, to tak eup his post as the God of War.
1: Sojourn's fate is very much an example of what happened to John Connor in Terminator Genisys, both as a means of survival for Anubis, how prefect Sojourn was for him (Being a heavily augmented cyborg.) and the horror she has become a heartless machine after all with the old person gone.
2: I am getting some Last of Us themes with Jack, Cole, and Sombra traveling across a abounded North America litter with rogue Omnics, leftovers from the war, and Anubis loyalists/an Anubis trapped in Old Canada. Cassidy loses his arm while Sombra gets dragged away.
Honestly the end of the world would give Mauga the same 'live in the moment' fun loving attitude even Jack and Cole can't understand, but learn to kinda live with it.
3: Gabe being brought back to life and still becoming Reaper...them ore things change the more they stay the same. I can see Jack and Gabe having drinks in a old bar that still got bottles, drinking to all their lost.
Jack: To Vincent.
Gabe: To my family.
Jack: To Ana Amari, Mina Liao, Reinhardt Wilhelm, and Torbjörn Lindholm. We barely knew them, but they was the best of them.
Gabe: Can't argue with that.
Jack: You think...if we had come together sooner...thinks would have been different?
Gabe: Morrison, I got pump full of lead in mankind's last stand in Nepal, and someone came back to life as...I don't know what the hell I am now. The Omnics are cloning people back to life, people we knew. I don't know what could have happened. How the hell you get back to the States anyhow?
Jack: Wasn't easy. The temple collapse on itself after...after what happened. Took forever to dig myself out, more to heal even with the SEP. Omnics were fighting each other for a while, finally found a boat and made it to Hawaii, and then a plane to the West Coast. By myself for a long time.
Gabe: If Naughton could see us now...
I also like the idea of Reaper having to be a peacemaker between Jack and Cassidy.
4: Like I said above, the more things charge, the more they stay the same, in your other posts, Fareeha's want to do good and bring justice to this New World. More so if she is actually Ana's daughter and not knowing about it. The same others still be driven by certain traits from Canon against both Anubis, as well as angry Martian Humans attacking.
No idea why I did this, but you might enjoy it and offer some insight on it. The Omnic Crisis ended with the Extinction of Humanity. Or Pyrrhic Victory in the Crisis.

I now have brain rot. I love this so much!!
Ok first I would like to point out a couple of things. The first being, considering the state of the Overwatch world during the Crisis, other then then brilliant minds being saved, the only other people who would have been saved were probably rich. Another thing is that I think the only people who would be cloned would be those who died at a young age, so a majority of the old guard stay dead, and a suggestion I would make to avoid complicating ages would be have the cloning process match how old the DNA is.
I would also like a specification on what Sombra is doing in this AU, because I assume she's trying to save Sojourn, but it also sounds she's either also being controlled by Anubis or helping him in some way.
However speaking of Sombra there is something I need to specify and that it, if a character has augmentations like she does in canon and they are part of the few surviving humans on earth in this universe, they wouldn't have those augmentations unless they were needed for survival and they were saved by Omics.
Also I would love to see how morals change for characters because of this change. Specifically the Talon characters.
I would also like to point out that Ramattra and maybe Zen would probably be the main ones trying to stop Anubis on the Omnic side of things, maybe even working with Macaria.
Anyway I also made a list on what I think the state of all the characters, so enjoy;
I admit I took a lot from Horizon and Call of Duty Extinction and more I'm making up as I go. I finally got Declassified and I could not help myself.
In my mind, child Sombra was taken by Anubis loyalists, and forcibly turned into a cybernetic freak. Unlike Sojourn (Who isn't really there anymore. There nothing left of Vivian Chase, only Anubis.) as the God Program host body, Olivia Colomar still exists, fighting against the Sombra's persona.
Doomfist, he's definitely one of the major leaders, or figures on the Mars Colony of Humans. His Social Darwinism philosophy to reclaim the Earth from the Omnics and the 'fake humans'. He, and Moira would be the biggest Martian Humans Heroes. Compared to maybe Mercy and Lifeweaver who should stay on Mars and focus rebuilding.
I see you had Cassidy as among the Human Survivors on Earth. In my eyes Cassidy would be an Jeremiah Johnson/Man with No Name. A man with few if any words to say, it all in his actions. So alone for so long, but still has a heart in him.
Of course Mauga would still be alive and kicking. He gone full Ocean World.
Illari, could be interesting if the Inti Warriors are still around in the Andes and just wanna be left around/left undiscovered.
All the cloned cast would be very different. But you can still see certain characteristics from Canon as part of the 'Human Nature.' Some would become rebellious like Ashe, and Junker Queen, others trying to figure out what a human being actually means.
Ramattra would be one of the most interesting to explore. Even here I feel he would be a sorta outsider because of being a Ravagers, built by Anubis for war. He has no reason to hate humans, but maybe thinking the project to bring them back to be a bad one. Even so I like to think he defends everyone on top on going after Anubis itself. Peace at any cost. The same for working with Macaria.
Curious to see Echo and Orisa. I guess the're attempts by the Omics to create a new generation.
Large parts of the Earth have been left abounded, reclaimed by nature, litter with the legacy of mankind and the Crisis, Omnics are often clustered around the old Omniums as well as several other locations.
No idea why I did this, but you might enjoy it and offer some insight on it. The Omnic Crisis ended with the Extinction of Humanity. Or Pyrrhic Victory in the Crisis.

Anyway I also made a list on what I think the state of all the characters, so enjoy;
