here is yet another ref i did for artfight. transfemme 1800s cowboy gang leader. me n my friends have so many cowboys and aus so we’ll see how much cowboyposting i do.

spent the last 2 days redrawing this map. Im not good at maps but it is better than the last one!!!! ive been thinking so much about worldbuilding.,. anyways heres without the shit

made more room for all the fantasy creatures by making the countries smaller.,. also theres a big mountain with a hole in it.,. which already existed but i didnt draw it.

anyways i spent so long attempting to make it make sense even though it is fantasy <3

oh and even more roads so i can think about the war

my original species the Gobyote, featuring my self insert oc, Ugly. I pretty much made this species just for this oc because i feel it encapsulates me so well.🦷🍂

oc pink as a dictator. (inspired by an image from pinterest and also that one cat that was a dictator.) i think this drawing is incredibly funny and it has reignited my will to draw.

also he is finally living up to his originally intended purpose of being drawn in insane fucking outfits.

these two drawings are about the only ones i have of him with his updated design.

remembering i should post every now and then. have no full art only sketches. heres a carnelian and 2 rooks.

realizing i should prolly post more sketches n shit on tumblr.,. i reckon ill make a tag for it.

this is my current wip for my fairy caste size chart/reference (this is castes like eusocial insects not like people). I think ill ramble more about what ive been cookin up so far when i post the finished one., but essentially i realized i cant give my character azalea an updated design until i have at least a decent ref of the different fairy castes and decide what type he is.

Important note that the only parts actually finalized here are the sizes and the two completed wing shape/patterns. everything else is just a base for what i will draw over it later. the red notes refer to the type of butterfly wing i am basing their wing types off of. Oh and also the size chart is a six foot scale. for convenience.

LORE: (just a tidbit)

Ive been basing my castes off of ants bc they have super complicated and interesting societies. These fairies are divided up into (in order) Queens, Majors, Drones, Mediae, Minors, and Minims. all names stolen from bugs ofc. You may note the drones are the only ones biologically male but an important aspect of the fairies is that they do not have a concept of gender especially not as it pertains to sex. Their closest approximation to gender are the castes.

the queens are by far the largest and most important part of the fairy society, they are not however, queens, ironically enough. there are multiple queens to each colony, and they will parent pretty much all of the fairies in the colony. They don’t do much work, and the smallest of the fairies (the minims) care for their every need. They very rarely take flight with their wings, and are often lifted by other fairies instead, but when they do the amount of force necessary to lift their body creates a very strong blast of air. any minims around are sure to be scattered. Majors wings are relatively larger and more designed for prolonged flight in comparison, despite their similar shapes (queens wings being more ornamental).

queens also have way bigger and more.,., im not sure how this word is used but lamellate? antennae. aka more feathery like moths. bc they are capable of reading the pheromones of essentially the whole colony to get a good read of it. their antennae are especially sensitive to them. this is likely a remaining trait from a time they had to work harder, as these days, the fairies governing body does the majority of the analysis of the colony to make any important decisions. including the queens own jobs. the government consists of minim royalty as well as big shots from just about every caste. queens typically do little work and are informed of their duties to do by the gov.

this is all im offering for now i actually have unbelievable amounts of information ive been crafting up about fairies recently.

dont look too close at any of this bc none of it came out how i wanted but i have been thinkin up a unicorn species for my fantasy world. if i were better at drawing they would be a bit eerier/creepier,., sort of unnatural looking.

anyways sparknotes of their lore: these guys are giant and live in a big ass magic forest, eat tiny little sprite guys full of magic, and their tails are really big and used for fighting/defense
