Whenever I turn on the news there are innocent dead people staring at me, their loved ones crying in grief. It's not the first time it has happened. I've literally been in caught in the middle of terror attacks before, so I've lived the experience.... but.... that doesn't diminish the pain of the present. If it diminished the pain then it would be normalised.

And to rub salt into the latest wound, even more attacks are taking place as I type. One army soldier has died already... I fear for the rest.

My country may soon be going to war, idk; it looks inevitable. I'm trying to process this, I'm trying to prepare for a grim future even as the present turns the knife in.

We are Indians, we're resilient, we've been here for thousands of years. I know we'll bounce back, even with the deep cuts and unhealed wounds.

Still, it hurts so much. This is a special kind of haunting, with layers of memories and experiences and anxiety attached.

Honestly bizarre that tomatoes get all the flack for “not being a vegetable” because they're technically a fruit when:

A) There are a ton of fruits that get categorised as vegetables. Like this also applies to pumpkins, squashes and cucumbers.

B) The fucking mushrooms are standing there at the back of the crowd in this witch trial, trying to look inconspicuous because they somehow got into the vegetable club with no fucking controversy despite the fact that they're not even plants.

It won't stop until the Government is forced to take severe action. It won't stop until the military is forced to take severe action.
