Not to make Max's baby announcement about Lestappen, but if the baby is born in Monaco, it will be Monegasque. Max made himself a Monaco baby! But what if its just to make the child the best Monegasque racing driver ever. That's cringefail rival behaviour!!!
bold of nico to assume mclaren is going into this race with any strategy
The thing is... mental health has always been a problem in sports, especially in such an elite sport as f1. Drivers suffer and cope in different ways and it's important to bring attention to the fact that they are people and can see online hate etc.
But it's funny how no one cared about it untill norris. (he is 100% valid in his experience and emotions, and I'm glad hes talking about it) but THE FANS never actually gave a shit before.
For years jokes (and assumptions) have been made about verstappen's childhood and relationship with kelly in a very negative way, and no one gave a shit.
Hamilton has been the butt of homophobic and racist jokes for years, and no one gave a shit. Checo, Zhou, Albon and Tsunoda have all been subjected to the racism of this sport and its fans.
Leclerc has faced loss in the most devastating way and had to share that with the world, and no one gave a shit. Gasly and Ocon both lost a friend and had to see it be used as a media piece again and again.
Sargeant's treatment from williams was absolutely disgusting, not the firing part, the shit vowles said and how he was treated in general.
Past drivers like rosberg, button, webber have said how they struggled with the pressure. This is still relevant to current drivers.
The weight limit the drivers have to adhere to adding to disordered eating and definitely body image issues. Still fucking relevant.
SO... if we are gonna talk drivers' mental health, it's gotta be as whole. Fans can't pick and choose when mental health issues are relevant to a driver's performance or not. And it does not excuse bad behaviour on or off track.
This is coming from a genuine place, as I have been struggling with depression and anxiety for years. We as fans have a responsibility to also make the sport safe and enjoyable for drivers and fans alike.
I feel sorry for the people who this will offend, but if a lando norris blog comes up on my dashboard, I BLOCK.
I already have to see him when I'm trying to enjoy the race, I don't want to see him while I'm vent blogging too.
In addition, Doohan ruined Bortoleto's sprint race and became Brazil's number one enemy.
Unfortunately if the girls are beefing in the back, it gon happen.
I feel sorry for Gabi because going from the high of f2, to sitting in a green mobility scooter... doohan can't ruin much if the the car is shit, and racing accidents happen, I guess.
Just saw the will buxton mclaren rant and all I can say is, what a loser!! Bringing up mark webber was not necessary just to put down oscar. Will is clearly a norris fanboy. Isn't he supposed to be objective? You're a journalist for gods sake!! Like you can criticise mclaren's strategy to hell and gone but that is not oscar's fault.
If mclaren loses the championship thats on them, not on piastri for driving a good race.
nico rosberg single-handedly ruining Alpine/Renault's PR about the team being up for sale by saying "i got an email"
and then casually adding he could afford the whole billion but eh not worth it. double insult to alpine.
not even rosberg (notorious underdog fan) would invest in their shit
Alexandra S-M is stronger than me. Because if my boyfriend won a race and walked up to me afterwards, reached out, and then kissed the dog and called him "Mon amour" in front of the whole world, before even kissing me. I'd just kms.
Andrea Stella bringing up good points about the severity of penalties based on level of danger and type of infringement, but they were quiet when it was happening to others...
Charles looking absolutely miserable in the back with mclaren celebrating, carlando chatting and lewis bawling his eyes out.
