don’t you just love submissive men?
you couldn’t help biting your fingernail to try and stop from smirking. first glance at you got him to blush and every one after that warranted a stutter. it was all too cute when he was supposed to be presenting to this room full of legal professionals and high status people.
honestly, who cares who’s in the room right now. for all you know, the banquet hall is filled with a million potted plants, your only focus is on dr. reid.
such unruly hair and boyish face. he had to be in his late twenties; fbi agent and phd? probably a child genius or something.
god, you should have paid attention when he introduced himself, you bet he has such a cute name. but you didn’t really care for this seminar and were more preoccupied with the drinks until the mentioning of a case you knew caught your attention. and then dr. reid had your entire presence. first it was just to make sure he got all the facts right—it was a case you worked on after all—but after the computer like regurgitation he repeated, you were more interested in the fact that he couldn’t keep his eyes off of you for more than a minute.
maybe it was worth it to come here tonight.
and maybe you could have a bit more fun before you make him come over.
a sweet smile to the waiter, the order of a new glass of wine and gentle fixing of his cuff has dr. reid staring directly at you for about 3 sentences straight.
the stare down you give him, though, when the waiter hands you your glass of red is the last thing you needed.
“thank you, and have a great night.” dr. reid ends, hastily leaving the podium.
the initial shock of the room lasts a split second before chatter and soft music starts, and everyone’s attention is directed away from the speaker. every one but yours. the entirety of your eight person round table gathers up and leaves, creating room for the doctor who approaches.
“uh,” he places his hands in his pockets and clears his throat. “hi.”
you smile, amused, and take a sip of your wine, not breaking eye contact. he clearly didn’t have a plan of action.
“hi.” you say back and his cheeks tinge pink. “would you like to take a seat?”
he nods his head and reaches for a chair across the table, but you kick out the one beside you. his eyebrows raise.
“i won’t be able to hear you if you’re so far away.”
he sits down beside you and you notice the stubble around his face.
“uh—i’m spencer. dr. spencer reid.” he nods.
“i’m y/n l/n. prosecution.”
“a lawyer?”
you nod.
“that was my case you were talking about.”
he purses his lips.
“your case?” he asks. “i think it was my case before it was yours.”
you laugh a little.
“you caught him, i made sure he’ll never see the light of day. my case.”
“you wouldn’t have anything though if i hadn’t caught him.”
“i think we have an argument on the horizon dr. reid.” i say, and take the last sip of my wine so as not to smirk at the blush he tried to hide.
he likes to be called doctor.
you decide you’ve teased the man enough. better upgrade to full on torture.
your heeled foot draws directly to his, and after his slight move away (thinking that he was in your way), you stretch to the inside of his ankle.
he instantly freezes, realizing what you’re doing.
“you don’t think we could share the case, dr. reid?” you tilt your head as your foot rises a bit higher, grazing his leg.
“uh-uhm.” he clears his throat. “i don’t see why we can’t.”
you smile.
“do you like to share?” you ask, and he shifts a bit, but doesn’t let your foot move away from his leg.
“not particularly.” he mumbles.
you take your foot back and his eyes shoot to you.
“i wouldn’t mind sharing with you though!” he says a bit too eagerly.
you bit your cheek from laughing at his adorable demeanour. time to end this thing.
“i live a few blocks from here.” you tell him, leaning forward and placing your hand on his thigh. your voice drops to a whisper, forcing him to move closer. “would you like to come over and finish this conversation in private?”
his response takes less than a second.
“yes, please.”
