Belated realization that I’m way too dang excited about!

So it was bugging me that the sleeves on Eda’s/Luz’s jacket changed length dramatically at some point, going from wrist length to elbow length and losing their patch, so I decided to chase it back to figure out when it happened— and there’s actually a reason for it!

We see Luz wearing the jacket in O Titan, Where Art Thou? as she and Eda head off to steal François back from the Bonesborough Police District HQ, and it looks just fine. She and Eda change into their stolen/mock uniforms, so she’s not wearing it for most of the episode. 

The next time we see the jacket, they’re both in jail, and not only is there a visible tear below the left elbow, her leggings are busted up too, suggesting she continued to struggle as they got the fake uniform off her and it got torn. There’s also a snag on the other arm, more visible after they reach the CATTs’ base. 

The episode ends with her carving her Palisman, knowing she has allies now. (You can see her busted leggings a little in this shot too btw.) And what emphasizes the fact that she has allies now? 

The fact that when Clouds on the Horizon starts, she has new, clean clothes! I feel like these were probably Amber’s, given that she’s the closest to her size, but I also saw the hilarious idea that they’re Alador’s old clothes that Darius never got around to getting rid of, since they look a lot like the pants/boots he wears in the old Bonesborough Brawl picture. But this is also when the sleeves get short! So someone carefully took off the cuffs, shortened the sleeves to get rid of the torn part, and stitched them back on, so Luz could keep wearing her mum’s old jacket which means so much to her without wearing a busted garment. 

Who do we know for a fact knows how to sew. 

All I’m saying is that Darius is a huge sap.

Happy Pride Month

Someone came up to me and my friends the other day and started saying a lot of homophobic slurs and other very rude and harsh things. The thing is, my friends ( trans,bi,pan ) and I ( Pan ) were literally just sitting in a cafe and then we see this guy walk up to us and just start verbally harassing us with slurs and threats against the LGBTQ+ community. And when I started trying to CALMLY speak to the guy, he started SHUSHING ME and then it got me riled up. My friends tried to pull me back telling me that it's not worth it, so while my friends were PHYSICALLY having to pull me back from the argument, a barista came up to the man with the whole SECURITY and escorted him off the premises. My point is that people shouldn't even have to BE in these situations if others just ACCEPTED US and treated us as living, breathing, people. Being gay or anything else IS NOT A SIN OR A CRIME! I shouldn't have to apologize for being me, nor should other people. I AM A PROUD PANSEXUAL AND YOU CAN NOT TAKE THAT FROM ME !!!

Imagine:

Two young lovers holding hands while quietly running down a long dark corridor of hogwarts while hoping not to get caught. Like every night.

One of the two boys is quite tall and his face has remarkable almost white claw scars on it. In fact his whole body is covered in scars from all the long full moon nights he survived. But these scars are hidden under his robes and his wine-red cardigan. His untamable brown hair is the perfect contrast to his whiskey colored eyes which are filled with self doubt.

His lover on the other hand has a determined look in his eyes. He tightens his grip on the taller boy’s hand as he practically drags him down the hall. His hair is curly and black and at the moment it’s twisted into a knot with his wand. He likes to wear his hair like that knowing his lover loved to see his pierced ear. He also wears his robes but paired with a leather jacket. He also has scars but he didn’t make them himself. They were the result of his mother’s punishments.

Despite their pasts, both of them had found a person to feel at home. And while they gaze into the night sky holding each other tightly they wish that this feeling will never change. And rumor has it that ever since they found their home the star sirius and the moon shone brighter.

My Marauders Headcanons:

Remus had documented when all the staircases in Hogwarts moved throughout the day. When Sirius had particularly annoyed him one day, Remus led them to a staircase about to move, pushed Sirius down it as it moved and sent him tumbling like a bowling ball into a group of Slytherin first years who fell like dominos. When Sirius looked back up Remus was doubled over in laughter, clutching at his sides with tears streaming down his face.

A day in the hospital wing with a sprained wrist for Sirius and a pulled muscle for Remus was well worth it for the hilarious stories they told for the next two months. Also the hesitancy with which the Slytherin first years moved around the castle now, like they were waiting for Sirius Black to come rolling towards them.
