thinking once again about how someone translated the Grimmerie from the movie and for the spell they believe is for Fiyero’s transformation it said something like ‘a different form, yet the same soul’. 😭 like everything really just comes full circle, so carefully tied to the deeper meanings in Wicked. Elphaba loves Fiyero for who he is, under the superficial appearance he shows to others. under the barriers he put up to protect himself, until she came along. she wanted to keep that intact. she wanted him to stay alive, no matter what form, just with the same soul. with everything that made Fiyero who he truly is.

Nothing Left to Lose

What is Elphaba and Fiyero favourite date night activity?

(This made me want to do a quick little sketch 🙈)

Elphaba and Fiyero never really got the chance to have a date night while Fiyero was human. His new straw form makes some (albeit cliché) date night ideas a little impossible. A romantic, candlelight dinner for example. Already being a romantic in every day life makes it even more difficult for him to think of a date night idea that feels truly special.

However, there’s one thing he found that seems to make them both feel the exact intimacy and warmth of their relationship.

Stargazing

Every important, vulnerable moment of their relationship happened under the stars. It’s under the light and watch of the stars that allows them the peace of being themselves - together.

i think the wicked fandom as a whole discounts fiyeraba far too much in favor of gelphie.

this isn’t to hate on gelphie at all, i personally don’t ship them and i hc glinda as aromantic, but i respect the ship and i see where people are coming from. however, said people (from what i’ve seen) tend to ignore all of what makes fiyeraba so good and ship gelphie instead.

fiyero, the prince, chose elphaba over everything. his status, glinda, etc., all for this green-skinned girl who the wizard and everyone else is framing as a villain. who he never looked at any differently because of her skin color, who he never saw as anything but who she was.

glinda does love elphaba, but she would never sacrifice all that fiyero did. glinda cares too much about how other people see her to be able to choose elphaba, which is why they never would have worked. their priorities are far too different, but fiyero fits with elphaba perfectly.

It's fun first act Fiyero is so into pretending to be dumb, and then in the second act is like "okay if I join the guards, I'll have access to all the information they have about finding Elphaba and if they ever find her I'll be there to protect her" "people think water will kill her? If I feed into that rumor then people will think they can kill her in a way that actually won't cause her any harm" "if I join the witch hunters, again ill be there if they find Elphaba and I can concoct a plan to keep her safe".

Elphaba taught him he didn't have to hide any parts of himself. One of the parts he was hiding was being a natural schemer.
