Okay, this never happens. I just sat down for a solid 3 and a half hours and wrote a fic from start to end in a draft format that closely resembles mid-draft as opposed to first draft. My concentration never wavered.

Roman typically liked color.

The purple and blues of his best friends, the green of his brother, the yellow of his… of Janus, his own glowing, vibrant red – Roman liked color.

At least, when it wasn’t splashed across his skin.

“I told you not to read the comments section,” Janus clucks, lifting Roman’s chin with one gloved hand and frowning at the marks on his neck, “and what do you do?”

“Checked for accolades from my dearest fans?”  Roman flashes a grin, wincing when it pulls at the cut on his lip, breaking open once more.

“Let’s go with your story,” the snake says, dryly, snapping open a first aid kit.  “Oh, and please stay standing.  It’s so much more convenient to check up on you when you look like you’ll pass out at any second.”

Okay, but what if none of the Sides exist except Roman? What if Thomas isn’t even real? What if they’re all just figments of the prince’s imagination, created as a desperate attempt to save himself from whatever hurt has been clawing its way inside of him? The boy is just trying to preserve his sanity. He wants to escape. What if he’s actual royalty in some other world- some place where people like him have the power to turn blank space into life?

What if, during the Christmas video, when Roman said he had a lot going on, it wasn’t in relation to his job as Thomas’ creativity. What if that was him projecting his frustrations onto the fake friends that he produced with his mind? What if he’s actually a homosexual prince whose identity is being stifled? What if his parents are forcing him to take a bride so he can continue their royal bloodline?

Think about it.

Question for my fellow theorists: 

I know at lot of the time when there is a fourth-wall breaking moment in a show, theorists tend to ignore it when creating theories because 1, it doesn’t follow the logic of the universe of the series (like a show that is realistic without any “magic”), and 2, the moment is obviously for comedic purposes and doesn’t matter to the plot. So, I’m wondering if when we’re creating theories about how we think the sides work/C!Thomas’s universe works (and not just fun head-canons, theories about how things might actually work in the story Thomas and co has written), do we ignore these moments?:

-When Thomas reads “nods in agreement” from the script out loud on accident instead of preforming the action and Logan corrects him

-Patton attempting to give Thomas a hug but being unable to/being blocked and knocked backward because of the fourth-wall and it being impossible for that to happen since Thomas plays both C!Thomas and Patton

-(not sure about this one but I’ll include it anyway) Thomas just sitting on the couch with his eyes closed instead of actually being in a court room with the sides

Do we just ignore these when making theories? Or not? Thank you, theorists friends :D

So an argument that gets repeated in SvS and SvSx2 is that Thomas is unlikely to "win" the callback. This is Roman's territory - it's really up to Roman's ability and talents whether he wins or not. Yes, it's very difficult and not totally up to Roman, but the point that keeps jumping out to me is the wedding be priority because the callback is unlikely to lead to anything.

It's no wonder Roman has self-esteem issues when the people he cares about, from his perspective, didn't believe in him.
